We went as a last minute last resort option. It’s a shame the place has really gone downhill. Years ago it used to be really good! But it’s dirty and dusty in the place now. My husband and I each ordered the chicken breast entree with fries and “vegetable of the day”, it also comes with the salad bar. The chicken was most definitely frozen, it wasn’t seasoned well, if at all and was pretty tough. The fries were so dried out it was like eating sawdust and the vegetable of the day was a large frozen microwave heated bowl of peas, green beans and corn. The salad bar wasn’t all that fresh, wilted and the topping selection was rough. Mediocre pickled vegetables, mushy over ripe fresh vegetables and the salads section with the pudding and “fruit” was sad. All the fruit is canned and made with sugar syrup and the applesauce is canned with added sugar. We were meeting some people afterward and one of our friends actually asked where we went to lunch and commented “you smell like a diner” indicating that we reeked of old fryer grease. Stumbled on to this little gem waiting for my sister to pick me up. Food was excellent, as was the service. I was a bit as I was waiting for my sister. They didn't even care. Nice, hometown feeling place. I'm not from here but I could tell they have a "regular" crowd & after eating my fish, Mac & cheese, & fries I see why!
