The food was good. The chicken parm is amazing. My night was ruined however when I heard screaming, I don't know if it was the owner or managers or whoever, but they were screaming and yelling really violently at one of the waitress until I heard her crying. Stopped in because it was close to the Flying J and we wanted some good home cooked food. The staff were all very welcoming and nice. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. I've gone in quite a few times after I've fueled up my truck next door. They're constantly cleaning! They keep the place spotless on a daily basis, and the staff are very friendly. The food i order is always on point!(GREAT)I pay a little over $10 for a nice big burger, fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. I'd much rather go there instead of Burger King or Mcdonald's. My advise!!! I love this place! The staff is always friendly, caring & helpful. The food is always great! Huge portions, quality ingredients, made with care. The seafood bisque is to die for! I love their sausage gravy with biscuits... reminds me of my grandmother's! The biscuits are light and fluffy, the sausage gravy is creamy and delicious. Feels like home. Wow,I was fixing to go to the pilot just down the road but pulled my rig in here on a lark. Surprisingly clean bathroom got a burger and water and coffee in the morning . 10x cheaper than pilot and 100 times the quality !! I’ve been living in the area for quite a few years and never actually dined in here, until last night. After a couple botched DoorDash orders from this diner during COVID, I decided to give them another try and dine in this time in hopes that things have improved. I arrived and the diner was practically dead, so I was advised to sit wherever I wanted. I found it odd that a lot of the “cleaned” tables that had silverware on them still had a lot of crumbs. I tried to pick the cleanest booth I could find. A gentleman came and took our drink order, and smelled horribly of smoke. I just brushed it off, but I wasn’t too impressed. Then, when our drinks came, I noticed they were using Dunkin’ Donuts straws. That was just weird. I ordered split pea soup and the hot turkey wrap. As you can see by the photos, the split pea soup was disgusting. The consistency resembled mashed potatoes. It was actually nauseating. The “hot” turkey wrap had pre-shredded cheese in the middle that was not even slightly melted, so there was nothing even warm about it. The turkey was dry and tasted old. The bacon in the wrap was nothing more than bottled bacon bits you buy at the grocery store. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the actually warm dinner rolls and butter that came with my husband’s chicken parm. He said it was just okay. Yes, this diner is cheap, but the price also severely reflects the quality of food. For a few extra dollars, it’s worth it to go to a nearby diner for much better quality food. What a gem, this place is. The portion sizes are big allowing for a second meal later in the day. Prices are great and the service was fantastic. Nice to see waiters and waitresses helping each other than fending for themselves. At one point I was given two drink refills at the same time by two different waiters! We absolutely LOVE Deepwater. The food is amazing, more than abundant, and the staff are simply adorable and polite EVERY TIME. We are a trucker family, and we go every time we get sent that way. The Deepwater Diner is a cozy spot. It has been largely renovated, but keeps its charm. Not much is left from the original 1958 Silk City model. The atmosphere is good and people are friendly. The service was quick and very attentive. I felt our server came by the table at the perfect moments. The food itself was good. My pizza steak was huge and tasty. Their fries are very good and everyone in my party appreciated them. Their buffalo cheesesteak looked very as well and I would definitely try it. The grilled cheese and tomato is a diner staple which they did right. Overall, the experience was comfortable with good food.

This felt like the perfect, authentic diner experience. Excellent food (breakfast), very good service. Felt like a place all the locals go to. Far from empty, but not too crowded.
