After visiting Tucker Park, come here for a meal. Good chicken strips and perfectly cooked sandwiches are among the dishes to be tried at this fast food. Clients don't highly appreciate chocolate ice cream and chocolate frappe at Dairy Queen. This place is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Went to the hiawatha dairy queen. We were handed our order at the cash window. There was a car sitting at the pick up window for a great deal of time. Nearly 20 minutes. We arrived at 7pm and it's 720 right now. Not sure why the driver was not directed to pull ahead while cars behind them were being handed orders at the cash window. We are left sitting with icream orders melting. Not acceptable. Terrible service. Will never return. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Showed up at 8:56 after crossing town to get there before closing time. They refused to serve us saying, "We are closed." Clock said 8:56. Disappearing Meal type Other Service: 1

Staff seems to have some prejudice towards people of color. We asked if they had fries left as they hadn’t had any around the same time during our last visit and was told that the staff could barely understand us even though we were speaking clear English. The employees were rude and we audibly heard them bad mouthing us in the drive thru, and when we called them out on it, they showed no regret and no apology was issued. Our ice cream came half melted and the food wasn’t bagged properly. Not worth the hassle. Totally understand how hard they work but no excuses for discrimination or racism in 2024. Can't understand the Cedar Rapids DQ. They don't participate in promotions like other Dairy Queen's outside of Cedar Rapids area do. Went to this DQ noticed the tea dispenser that is self serve had a note on one of the flavors that it was out. No big deal chose the raspberry and I was completely showered in tea. I told the gal behind the counter what happened and she could see my coat was completely covered everywhere in tea she said oh the night people didn't put the dispenser back on. Here it is 12 noon and nobody else buys tea? So yeah I was the first to encounter the issue and all I got was an apology. I would have expected a manager to come out and at least offer me a free future drink or something. I had to spend the rest of the day in a sticky coat. I am no longer going to this dairy Queen is completely trash the customer service is garbage there is one individual guy who is loud and obnoxious and he always gets on the mic when somebody else is taking our order it just makes dairy Queen in Hiawatha a really bad experience for me and my family
