Staff was exceptionally nice. Food on the day we went was average. Not bad but we drove an hour and a half to check them out so our expectations were fairly high. Still a great place, clean, friendly staff. Cafeteria style when you walk in, Go to the right, down the hall and get your tray. Choices were 1 meat, 1 side/1 meat 2 sides/veggie plate and so on. Get your order, go pay and sit down. It was a little different, so that kind of threw us off, not a bad thing, just different. It is a cafeteria style restaurant. You get in line and point to what food you want and it's put on your plate. I had the brisket as the main meat and some sides I have never heard of before. I lived in the South now for about 10 years so I have tried a lot of the food. I can't say this was the best brisket I have eaten, and the sides were alright. Absolutely delicious southern cooking. I ask my family to come every time I’m home from England! Flavours are excellent, cooking is comforting and service is warm and friendly too. Would eat here every day if I could! Also, my first time having their famous once-a-week-available banana pudding and omygoodness life changing!!! It was my first time ever coming to this establishment. The people were friendly. The food tasted great. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. I paid over $20 for my food. I thought it was a little pricey. If you want great tasting food you have to pay for it right🤷🏾‍♀️. I do not know why so many people love Cutts, went there and the food was just awful! Ordered the Phily and it was some dry bread with a small bit of meat and cheese on it.
