Great little local restaurant. The only reason I won't give them 5 stars is every time I try to order online there is always a issue. Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Buffalo Meatloaf

This is my favorite in Sheridan! Green chile is so good, pies are amazing. I have had several menu items and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Burrito is delish, chicken fried steak (GRAVY) is amazing. The servers are so nice and attentive, but not overly so. Go early, luch time is packed. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Always busy, but even when standing & waiting for a table, patrons are jovial and kind. The staff genuinely cares about personal service, and staff turnover is nearly unheard of. Portions are generous, so don't snack while awaiting a table. 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came in with a group of 11 on a Tuesday morning and luckily it wasn't too busy inside. I was very surprised by how quickly all the food was ready. Everyone's plates looked amazing. There were so many varieties of pies available. I ordered two fat pie slices which were fantastic. The berry pie came with ice cream, and you could really taste the cream and vanilla in it. Our two waitresses were very kind and attentive. We had a great stay. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It is an amazing place situated within an incredibly interesting town. The outside may not look like much, but the food and the staff far exceed those trivial facades. While you're there, get a slice of one of those phenomenal pies, maybe take home an entire pie. The Pecan Pie may be the best, except for my mother's, that I've ever tasted. We wanted to eat local, so we decided to give the Cowboy Cafe a try. Unfortunately for them, the street in front of their restaurant is closed and completely torn up. It made finding parking and then the restaurant quite difficult, especially for visitors from out of town. We made it into the restaurant and found there were two other couples already there. My husband ordered a chicken entree, while I decided on a ribeye steak which I ordered cooked medium. The wait for our food was long, but our server kept our drinks filled, thankfully. When our food did arrive, right away, I could tell eating here was not going to be a good experience. We both had baked potatoes, both of which were warm, not hot, and mixed vegetables that looked like they were from a freezer. My husband's meal was otherwise good, while my steak was flat out bad. I ordered it cooked medium, but it arrived well done with the exception of the very edge that was close to medium. How do you even get a steak to cook like that? Anyway, it was a thin slice of meat for a ribeye, anyway, and to have been overcooked made it unedible. I got maybe a quarter of the steak down (with steak sauce. A lot of steak sauce) and literally could not eat anymore because it was so bad. To have paid $39 for this cut of meat that was awful was disappointing. We would not recommend this restaurant, nor would we return again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Excellent food 👍 I'd say skip the main course and go straight for the pie ... but the meatloaf was pretty darn good. Excellent food & good ppl , be patient if they're busy , the food won't disappoint. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We decided to stop by the charming Cowboy Cafe for a late lunch. The service was quick and polite and decor had a wonderful western feel. The Ham and cheese panini was pretty good. A bit disappointed that it was a la carte and had to buy gems on the side. The cheeseburger was alright. The patty seemed pre made, which was somewhat saddening with the prices that they charged. One would think that a customer would get fresh, not frozen. This isn’t fast food. The winning portion of the meal was the pie. The homemade strawberry rhubarb pie was fantastic. Warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream, it took all my woes about the chewy hamburger patty away. Unfortunately, if I was to go back to Sheridan, I don’t think that I would be trying the Cowboy Cafe again.
