I was visiting my daughter and we decided to go here based on the reviews. It was good home cooked food. We went for Sunday lunch. You order from your car and they give it to you to go. I recommend looking up the menu online because they have a long line of cars and no menu to view. I got the chicken & dressing with sweet potato casserole. It was really good. I couldn't eat it all. I love Claunch Cafe! It has a great atmosphere and a wonderful view. The owner is incredibly nice.He was always friendly and walked in with a smile when I worked at foodland. He would even bring us all lunch - my favorite was the chicken tender and buffalo tender salad. If you're visiting for the festivals and other fun events, this is a must-try! A pleasant surprise! Returning home after decades away, this place came highly recommended and I can see why. The food was perfect and a great example of southern cooking, our servers were fantastic and hospitable, and the prices were exceptional for the amount of food we were served. It’s clear they have a dedicated returning customer base, but for anyone passing through (or those that live local that haven’t made a visit just yet) plan to stop in for an amazing lunch.
