Many people point out that waiters serve nicely cooked lobster rolls, clam chowder and fried oysters here. You will enjoy its food, especially good Boston cream pie, key lime pie and fruitcake. Made a reservation for 3 people for Friday night at 5:30 - they accepted the reservation. (spoke to them directly, this was not an online reservation) Upon arrival, we were seated at a table for 2 with an extra chair pulled up to the small table making it a very small table for 3 - not nearly enough room - this was a reservation and they had the table set for us like this ahead of time - Not like we walked in at the last minute on a Friday asking for a table and they squeezed us in. When I inquired about getting a larger table, the server said she’d ask the manager. When she came back to take our order, she said the manager didn’t want to move us but she would inquire again. Should’ve gotten up and left then but my 95-year-old friend was with me and did not want to drag her to another restaurant on a Friday night in season and have to wait somewhere else. That’s why I made a reservation to begin with. We placed our order - 2 lobster dinners and a lobster roll plus sides & wine. No way could they fit all that food on this table for 2. Ask server again about a larger table since no way to fit all food on this one, ask to have manager come over and she says manager won’t come. When I remind her we’ve ordered 2 lobster dinners & a lobster roll - not only a lot of food but big $$ compared to the table next to us who all ordered the $15.99 special - they finally move us to a larger table, which should’ve happened anyway, regardless, and I didn’t say this but we were going to walk out if not. Then we get the overpriced $63 per plate 1.5 lb lobster, which both had a burnt taste to it and the meat for the lobster roll, though didn’t have the burnt taste, was not moist. The server was very nice and apologetic, but the management is less than Professional. This is not the first time I’ve been here but likely will be the last. The food was delicious as we had lobster rolls and clam chowder. Being from New Hampshire we know the difference between Maine lobster and other lobsters. We also brought our miniature pinscher and they allowed us to sit outside and brought him a water bowl. Christina was our server and she was phenomenal and very kind. We will definitely come back. This place has the best clam chowder I have ever had and I have had many!!! You can tell it doesn’t sit in a pot all day because the potatoes don’t fall apart like they have sat in heat all day. Really good!!! Oysters were blue points and they were nice and cold. The kids had chicken tenders and fries and the tender were very good and freshly made!! We also had garlic white wine mussel which were amazing!! For dessert we had the apple crisp and peanut butter pie. Everything was great!!! We were in there at about 4pm so it was not busy. I stopped in to get some Clam Chowder to go but the aroma was awesome, so I decided to look at the menu and have a glass of wine. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I looked around at what others were eating and decided to dine in I ordered the Lobster Roll warm sautéed with butter and Sherry it was absolutely delicious (and when they say “Stuffed Lobster Roll”) it is truly stuffed, delicious and melted in my mouth. Well worth $35.00. There must have been 5-6 oz of lobster, more than some whole Maine or Florida lobsters, especially those from Maine with soft claws; also it came with 2 sides. I could only eat half and brought the other half and New England Clam Chowder home for the following evening dinner. Kelly, my server was wonderful and even introduced me to the Chef since I raved so much about the Lobster Roll! I plan on making it there more often. Oh, btw I was alone was made to feel very comfortable and when I left (after dark) the staff made sure I got to my car safe. I Highly Recommend this Restaurant.!!! The place and environment was very welcoming and its was nice and cozy. As for the food, the clam chowder was very delicious, and I never tried clam chowder before. For dinner, I had the Clam Chowder Chili Dog which was amazing! The chili had plenty of meat in it and it was very flavorful. Our server, Holly, was so nice and kind, she brought our drinks right on the spot. She also was kind enough to answer my questions about the items on the menu. She was definitely one of the best waiters I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Overall, an great place to enjoy some clam chowder, seafood, and a warm cozy environment.
