Took the pre teen for dessert. I was amazed at how large the servings were. Jeremy was our server and he was the best! I got home and realized I had lost my earbuds in the parking lot, when I called to see if they were turned in, they were so kind and went looking for them, found them in the parking lot and brought them out to me when i arrived to pick them up!! This was our first time here and I couldn't say enough how great this place is. Collin was our waiter, he was upbeat and knowledgeable about all of the food & drinks offered. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the prices. The breading on my chicken was very light and flavorful. It stuck to the chicken but wasn't greasy at all. We will 100% be coming back and recommending cheddars to everyone we know. Our waiter Kai was very kind and efficient. He gave us refills before we even ran out, which was appreciated. The food also came out pretty quick and was really good. Everything was good! Love fried cheese curds! The half ribs and chicken tenders were awesome. Wife liked the meatloaf dinner. I wanted to be impressed. But it was just a little above average. We arrived not too long after opening on a weekend. It was not busy but there were a few tables. We were seated with menus quickly but then sat for a long time before we saw a server. The atmosphere is darker than I expected but it was nice and comfortable. The server came to ask if we wanted water and disappeared for a while. Finally returning with water and took our order. We were a group of only 3. The mixed drink and the buttered croissant were fantastic! The dinner salad was fresh and didn't taste like it had been sitting in a fridge for days. The blue cheese dressing could have been chunkier but tasted good. We had a chicken post pie, a Buffalo chicken wrap, and a Monte Cristo. The pot pie was unimpressive. Nothing was wrong with it but it was just a piece of pastry dough on top of a bowl of creamy chicken soup. The Buffalo chicken wrap was also nothing special. The Monte Cristo was almost there but the smoked ham completely dominated the sandwich. So it was more like deep fried breaded ham. The server continued to ignore us for most of the meal. We sat waiting for our bill forever. I was not impressed with the service. I was less impressed by the food and I wanted to love it. It wasn't anything better than a Perkins or Applebee's. I might go back if others were going but it's not going to be my first choice. Very average and below average service. The restaurant is very nice, I like how the booths are tall enough you can carry on a conversation without bothering others. They bring out bread with butter which is delicious and I ordered the spinach dip, which was great. I got the chicken tender salad that was huge and Mama got the fried shrimp. It was way more than we could eat and it was simply delicious. This restaurant is on our rotation list now. Bring your appetite. The food is fantastic, they serve huge portions, the staff is 1st class, the pricing is very reasonable & the atmosphere is relaxed. Our waitress Allie was phenomenal. When I went on a Friday it wasn’t super busy and I liked that. The inside looked nice but the layout for the bathrooms was kind of confusing. The service was great and our food came out fast. I loved the size of the chicken tenders and the texture of the breading but I wish it had more flavor to it. The potatoes & gravy were delicious and tasted fresh. The sweet baby carrots were way sweeter than I thought so I didn’t end up finishing them. I wouldn’t get those again. I had a Strawberry lemonade that was sooo good and I recommend it.
