Our family was looking for good food at an affordable price that would feed the whole crew. The food was fresh, fast, and delicious. The service was top notch. Very polite and professional. I have to say that it's nice to go to a place that has an actual atmosphere. I find it strange that I would talk like this about a fast food restaurant, because usually I am very jaded about them. But amazingly, my mind has been changed. I was there on Sunday, the 18th, in the afternoon, just going through the drivethrough and minding my own business. When over the intercom comes a man's voice, who you could tell was a great guy. I wish I remembered the young man's name but it was because of him that my day was better. Gentlemen working window night shift mngr? Was polite good spirits, made my carpool feel good about choice. I made a joke about prices being so dang high for fast food and that I would feel happier if maybe he could throw some freebie my way to munch on while waiting for order out front ....but he said policy was practiced and he was bound. He brought food and smalltalk to the front waiting spot. And said he left a small treat for each of us in the bag, he put a small cookie 🍪 for my date, and I....scrappy cookie but such small gesture can change a person and snowball/ pay forward creating a positive chain reaction effectively making a lot of people's night better with a simple gesture. My Western Bacon Cheeseburger was as okay. Could a used more BBQ sauce, it was a little dry. But my Mother's burger wasn't even warm like mine. And we were the Only ones in the drive thru, and it didn't look like there was anyone inside but the employees. Soo.... Being that this is the only decent fast food in all of Grants Pass. I hope the crew that works here takes it seriously and keeps up the good work. Sometimes they've been out of food like the zucchinis but that has nothing to do with the people or the establishment. So my wife and I have been here several times, given them several chances. But virtually every time my order has been messed up, and we get staff who don’t look like they want to be there. I get that a fast food job sucks, but we should remember to be thankful to have a job. Anyway, back to the final straw… so Tuesday evening, 11/21, we were having a bad day, and we had just left the grocery store at about 9:30 pm, so we wanted to pick up something quick and this CJ was very close by. We used the drive thru and the worker there was fine, but my order got messed up as I didn’t want cheese or mayo on my super star, which they still put cheese on it. We checked it before we drove off, so I’m glad we did. It’s sad we have to check it every time we order here. So we went inside, and my wife explained the mistake to the counter lady. And the people working the kitchen laughed. So the lady told them what was wrong, and apparently they speak hardly any English. And they laughed again. We found that very rude and disrespectful. The counter lady claimed they didn’t speak English, but I think it’s not a coincidence that they laughed at my wife when she explained the mistake. This is the final straw for this poorly staffed CJ, we will only go to the one on 6th St from now on, even if it means driving all the way across town. That location has friendly staff and they’ve only ever screwed up my order once in the last year or so. And when they did, they were super apologetic and very kind about it. So in conclusion, if you’re craving CJ, go to the one on 6th St, it’s ran way better. Never coming back to this location. Great California combo for 5.99 it was really good I was pleasantly supprised. My only complaint is about the lazy f running the drive thru that argued that he couldn't do more than 2 separate orders after a while arguing he did it . Make sure to ask for a senior discount here! You actually get money off your total rather than a free coffee or discounted drink like other fast food restaurants! Wonderful! I love the loaded breakfast burritos. That's in the photo I posted. Make sure to get there before 10:30, because that's when they stop serving breakfast.
