I want to give a major shout out to Angela, her mom, and the entire team at Cake Studio Panaderia Mexicana off of Viking Way in Poulsbo. They went above and beyond to help me put my Valentine's Day plan into action and create an incredible memorable experience for my wife that I am very grateful for. This year I got a head start on Valentine's Day and set a plan in motion a few weeks back. I reached out to our local Mexican panaderia in Poulsbo, to see if they could help me craft a bouquet of flowers filled with fresh Mexican conchas. If you don't know what a concha is, that's okay. It's a sweet bread that is perfect with coffee. My wife loves them so much she even has earrings of them. Angela at Cake Studios Panaderia, was just as excited as I was to put this idea in motion. The morning of Valentine's Day, I dropped off several bouquets that she and her mom then crafted with freshly made conches tailored to color match from their bakery into this outstanding concha flower arrangement. My wife had no idea what I was bringing back to her and she kept her eyes closed and when she opened them the surprise was fantastic. I'm happy I remembered capture on camera. Thank you Angela and the amazing team at Cake Studio Panaderia Mexicana for making such a delightful Valentine's Day possible. THANK YOU Panadería Cake Studio! I love conchas. This Valentine's Day my husband called up the Panadería and asked if they would put together a Concha Bouquet, something I had seen a video of and shared with him months before. I never expected him to surprise me with this beautiful creation. The bouquet would have been beautiful without the conchas, it was so well put together. My family decided last minute to have a Mexican meal for Christmas, and even more last minute to do it on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day. Cake studio Panaderia saved the day! I called and asked what dessert options they had available to finish our Mexican Christmas meal off right and ended up with a chocoflan and a tres leches with caramel. Both were out of this world delicious! Tender, moist and not overly sweet. I called them back to ask if they knew where I could purchase tamales and they had those too! I ordered 6 pork, 6 rajas and one dozen chicken. They were so so good! Moist, super flavorful and a generous size! The staff was very kind and friendly and I'm so appreciative of this awesome bakery! We came in the day after Three Kings day so understandably variety wasn’t all there. That said, the staff was very kind and explained that most of their goodies were not available due to the previous day’s holiday. First, the place looked clean and inviting, second, we were greeted warmly, and finally (but most importantly) the baked goods they did have were AMAZING! I was happy about the authenticity of the food and ended up indulging way more than planned! The Chocoflan was perfect and the Tres Leches with sweet peaches was an absolute treat! Absolutely amazing service with wonderful treats! My boyfriend wouldnt tell me what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday but luckily I found this bakery! Bottom layer = chocolate cake. Middle layer = flan. Top layer = tres leche…and there were strawberries in between the flan and tres leche! 🤤 every layer textured perfectly and tasted fantastic. This cake was def a hit at the party. The straight from the over conche was perfection as well! They also have a military discount…hooya! I do have to say that the prices are very reasonable to boot.
