Food was incredibly fresh. This is a great place to come shorts to church attire, very laid back. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Amazing Mediterranean blackened Sea Bass over sautéed spinach was perfectly seasoned and hubbies diablo shrimp was super savory! Along with great service from our wonderful waitress Jared the night ended with 2 happy campers!!! Will definitely be back to try more! Super restaurant! Food was alright, but probably not for the price. For example, a pound of crawfish is $20 with a single small potato and cob of corn. Menu had good balance of greek and cajun items, but overall the restaurant has neither a greek nor cajun atmosphere. Just seems like a typical island tourist location. The food was very good. We had the fried zucchini sticks as an appetizer. They lacked flavor, but they were still good dipped in ranch. The crawfish were pretty amazing. Good sized mud bugs and the seasoning was on point. 1 pound costs about $20.00 dollars and comes with 1 corn and 1 potato. Worth the value? Not sure... The gyro was amazing and didn't seem like your standard Kronos Restaurant Gyro. It was huge and cost $18.99. However, it no longer comes with fries. It cost an additional $2.99 for a small side of fries that comes in a standard diner sized soup cup. The fried shrimp platter was also pretty tasty and cost $29.99. It had a thick cornmeal batter and comes with 2 hush puppies and no sides. Again, a side will cost you extra. The service was great, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice. The location is not the greatest but there seems to be enough parking. The owner was at the bar during our meal. He did not greet or acknowledge our presence. Although, he spoke to everyone else at the bar. They have new, more comfortable bar stools, built an addition to the front of the building and recently updated their menu and pricing. I assume the addition (and inflation) has something to do with the price increases across the board as well as sides no longer accompanying all the meals. The restaurant is neither really Cajun or Greek, yet they offer a little of both. Although, the menu is huge akin to an old school Greek Restaurant. Overall, the food is very good and we enjoyed the experience. I am unsure if the value is there considering the cost. Our ticket was 85 dollars without sodas or drinks. However, I would still recommend this restaurant. We've been there many, many times and it's always consistent. UPDATE gumbo: I was very disappointed. The roux is creamy but not as spicy as I remember. There's ONLY shrimp as "seafood". There's NO okra, so, it's not "gumbo"! Lots of rice and shreds of red beans... No longer a fav. Very decent hush puppies. Excellent vegetable medley. Blackened snapper was just OK...
