Went here on whim. Asked for a booth, got sat at a boothish table. The smoked old fashioned is an experience to say the least. It's just all smoke. Some may enjoy this, I am not one of those. The drink was still good. They should smoke the glass not the drink. That's proper way. We ordered small plates. Food was great. Came out quick. Definitely try the clam chowder. The fois gras came with lingonberry sauce and it's good. Bone marrow was bussin bussin. Tartar was good. Heavy on the capers. I wish there was more bread given. The crispy pork belly was whatever. The bread pudding was good. This is a strong 4/5. My only issue came to the check. There was 5% service charge on the bill and the tips started at 22%. Don't take away someone's ability to choose what their tip is or whatever your service charge will be the tip. There were many commercials about this place. They have an extensive liquor menu. I don't drink, but I started off with a virgin Mai Tai. The fact that the orange juice was from concentrate was bad omen and not what you expect from an $11 mocktail. I started off with a shrimp cocktail. The presentation was awkward. They had a square thimble sized container for the cocktail sauce that you could barely dip the shrimp into. Why skimp on the cheapest ingredient. I was not impressed. The house salad was ok. The steak was a huge disappointment. I ordered a 16oz prime ribeye medium rare. The cut of meat was way too thin. It was less than 1/2 an inch thick. I have never had a ribeye that was cut that way. It certainly did not look like a $70 steak. The loaded baked potato was fine. Dessert was deceptive. The menu said it was a slice of apple pie a la mode. What arrived was an apple tart that was tiny. It was barely bigger than the small scoop of ice cream. Not a lot of value for a $10 dessert that is gone in two bites. I will not be returning. Loved it! Great food - we had the wagyu ribeye - perfection on a plate. And the scallops - some of the yummiest I’ve ever had. The bread pudding was decadent and so different- with the hint of spices and rum. The old fashioned took the cake though. Smooth and delicious! One of the best happy hour spots in Northern VA! Ed is the bestest bartender. Finley is the coolest and super friendly. Every time I come to B|B, I feel welcomed and like I am at Cheers. The food is tasty, nice portion sizes and the ambiance is nice. The live entertainment is grown and sexy. Always a vibe! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ate there on Valentine's Day. It was not very busy at 7pm, but more people started showing up by 8pm. We were excited about trying a new steakhouse and had high hopes, but the food was underwhelming. The filet mignon was ok, but not cooked to specifications. The ribeye tasted like cheap street food meat, and the mushroom risotto was worse than something from a Knorr pack. The crispy Brussel sprouts, the clam chowder, and the creme brulee were the stars of the meal, very, very good. I'm torn because some of the sides & dessert were great, but the meat disappointed. I'll only be going back for the clam chowder, but not the meats, especially for the high prices.
