Bobby-Q BBQ Restaurant and Steakhouse in Mesa is a fine dining spot that offers mouth-watering American cuisine. The ambiance is casual, and the interior design has a New Orleans decor that transports diners to another place. The price range is on the high side, with a three-meat platter costing over $35 and steaks over $65. However, the establishment offers reasonable sandwich and lunch menus. The location is convenient, and the restaurant features outdoor seating for those who prefer to dine al fresco. The menu boasts several delicious dishes such as the brisket nachos, pulled pork sandwich, and baby back ribs. The smoked meats are of high quality, but some portions can be skimpy for the cost. The sides are also worth trying, such as the excellent potato salad and moist cornbread. For drinks, Bobby-Q offers a wide selection of cocktails, including the blueberry mojito and Old Fashioned. Beer lovers can enjoy a 20-ounce glass of beer, although at $11 per glass, it may come as an unpleasant surprise at the end of the meal. Overall, Bobby-Q BBQ Restaurant and Steakhouse is a great place to dine, with attentive and friendly wait staff, and complimentary homemade donuts to bring home. The establishment may have some flaws, such as slow service and high prices, but the fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere make up for it.

Oh, this is a pretty cool restaurant. While we did not get pulled pork, barbecue chicken, or ribs, we did try the brisket salad, and the French dip. my wife said the brisket didn’t have a lot of flavor. My friendship was absolutely delicious. The little cornbread they give you are really good. Our waitress was super attentive, and informative. The food here is fantastic! I especially love the cornbread they bring to each table. It is a little expensive for what you get. I had the loaded baked potato (with lots of meat!) and while it was delicious, it was kind of pricey. But hey, the cornbread is free, so eat up! Some corners of the restaurant are very dark, if you like that sort of thing. Would recommend for a special event or celebration! I’d rate this place as a 3.5 , it’s good bbq by Arizona standards, but needs improvement by Texas or southern standards. The atmosphere was good and the waiters were very nice , and even the speed at which the food came out was lightning fast …. But you can tell that they hold the meats in the warmer too long , it was mushy. We ordered pick 3 meats combo , brisket , big ribs and chicken. All 3 were fatty , and the big ribs one side was tender while the other one was tough to even cut with a knife. You can also tell that they went ultra safe with any seasonings as there was no distinct flavor , either hardwood smoke wise or any rubs that they may use. Good afternoon! I’ve heard about this place from many ppl that know I’m a huge fan of BBQ being from Dallas,Texas and I love to grill so this is an honest review. I pulled up at lunch time and it smelled amazing. I went inside and still smelled amazing. The complimentary cornbread was good.I wanted it to not fall apart as much but I used my fork to finish it. I ordered a 2 meat plate it was almost 40 bucks! Not impressed with the price being that it was lunch time. I ordered ribs and brisket as my protein. I got the Mac and Cheese and Ranch Style Beans. I asked for my BBQ sauce on the side because I wanted to taste the smoke on the meat. Food comes out and looked edible. I go to cut my ribs and they start to fall out the bone. Major fail for me when you talk about spare ribs. Brisket was dry, not flavorful, and didn’t have no smoke on it. The ranch style beans were too sweet as I didn’t order baked beans. The Mac n Cheese was cheesy but super bland. Not a fan AT ALL! Service Dine in Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
