Out with the family to celebrate son's birthday lunch time on a Saturday. Not to bad on seating right away today. Most of the time have to wait for a few minutes before seating. Always come to this location love their atmosphere food and service. Usually great place to hang out to eat at a fair price and big variety of food . Today was not to impress with the food. Appetizers were good ordered the Ahi Poke and the Avocado Egg Rolls. Their new drink the Boba licious Mango Sparkler was wanting to try it out. They make it seem its a great drink was not to impress with it. My son order the prime rib, medium rare. Looked like it was well done, taste it was ok. The California Chicken Club lacked on need of some kind of dressing to dry. At to top it off we ordered a Classic Prime Rib Dip Sandwich . And the dip wasn't served till almost 15 minutes later, by the way it was a bit salty as well. Bacon Cheese Burger and the BJ's Classic Pizza were great. But nothing to do with our friendly and kind waiter named Charlie. Manager on duty did come and apologize on minor incident of missing Dip for the Sandwich. And also adjusted it on our bill. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The service was good and we received all of our orders in a timely fashion. The food and drinks were good, nothing amazing but still good. We got a few different types of margaritas and they were all good, my favorite was the lavender margarita. This use to be our favorite restaurant in the City of Orange. My wife and I have visited this location at lease 2-3 times per month for the last few years, making life-long relationships with many of their employees. Today we stopped in for lunch and were escorted to a small booth by the Hostess. My wife asked for a different location and the Hostess pointed to a small table. My wife asked for a larger booth and the Hostess gave her a Rude Face, walking us to a larger booth. This restaurant had just opened and there were very few customers, so asking for a larger booth didn’t seem unreasonable. After placing our order, we opened the cloth napkins discovering the utensils to be disgraceful (filthy). I obtained several other cloth napkins, discovering the enclosed utensils to be just as disgusting and filthy. We summoned the Manager explaining the Hostess rudeness and filthy utensils. He scooped up the utensils, stating he would address the issues. He returned with clean utensils. Our meals were delivered and all the food items were cold. We again asked for the Manager (older, tall male white), who we met at the front entry way. We explained our displeasure regarding all the issues and all he would say, “I’m sorry”. He did absolutely nothing to keep us as regular customers, so we walked out. Very sad since being loyal customers for over two years, spending thousands of dollars while developing some life-long friendships with their employees. We will not be returning. This place used to be my favorite and I hardly write reviews but this time nah nah se pasaron. Restrooms are always messy it's so nasty, toilet paper everywhere, toilet covers everywhere. Toilets dirty. It's so messy. The rice was hard like if it was old rice,I couldn't finish it ,it was just too nasty . The broccoli was dry and tasted like dirt , the utensils dirty like they hadn't been washed,I tried to clean them with the napkin but I gave up bc it wouldn't come off . When I was seated, I wasn't given any silverware. I ordered my meal, which was the slow roasted tri-tip. I think they thought I said no roasted tri-tip. This thing was still mooing. Unless you like your beef rare, stay away from this no roasted tri-tip. I did bring it up to my server, then she said that it's supposed to be medium. I don't really think this is a medium.
