Food was mediocre. We believe it sat a while because other people got their food before us even though they arrived after. Service was poor. He was nice, no personality and looked liked he may have been working on cars prior to showing up to work. Prices were high. I don't mind paying if the food and service are really good. Sadly I forget the servers name, but the service out the gate was great . Explained the menu what were there popular items/best sellers . Food from start to finish was awesome. The fired green tomatoes were amazing lite crispy , the super sampler of meat we got was great . Brisket juicy and flavorful . Basic spices and lots of smoke !! Ribs were amazing great crispy crust from the honey finish . The brisket chili was great . Pulled chicken and sausage were pretty good. Pulled pork was just there. Put faces us a chance to try there sauces all were really good . Baked beans were sweet with a nice spice , greens were just there. Will definitely be back again. Great mom and pop restaurant. Big John’s was really good! I got the brisket plate and it came with 2 sides. The corn nuggets are really so good. I love brisket but I made the mistake of not asking for it marbled cause mine was a little dry. But others at the table had nice marbled brisket so just specify what you want when you order! It was really good and the waitress was very helpful and accomidating! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Their brisket has a great smokey taste. No need for sauce. My wife said the turkey was dry and had no smokey taste. Her potato salad was not tasty. The fries were great. Nice atmosphere.
