Have eaten Big Boy hamburgers with onion rings twice in the last 2 weeks, the food was sooo fresh, especially the salad bar. Clam chowder was back on Friday, excellent!! Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. It's like a whole new restaurant now, highly recommend it!! I went into big boy and ordered two bowls of chili to go and did not get what I thought I ordered when I got home. Two days earlier I had gotten some chili from big boy and it was super good and chunky, the chili I had when I got home this time was thin almost like a chili for a chili dog. I called them up and they replaced it with the chili that I really wanted which is excellent. I don’t know who Judy is but you can make a very good bowl of chili. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Terrible customer service for the third time. I ordered online. They sent a text saying pick it up but when I got there they had it as Door Dash. Then no one knew how to handle the situation. The one waitress was really trying. The two younger women the waiterss who cared asked for help didn't care one bit. Their attitudes and demeanors were beyond disrespectful. And, they were yelling to each other so the whole restaurant was quietly watching. Talk about embarrassing. As for the food...burnt! There are much better places to eat in Cheboygan. I went for my birthday dinner last night 12/7/23, all 4 adults got different meals, and all of us were disgusted with every meal. Including salad bar, which contained half tomato chunks, as someone was too lazy to cut slices up apparently. I regret choosing here for my birthday dinner 100%, if my server wasn't the sweetest lady I would have left immediately after first bites 😞 don't recommend eating here at dinner time. Love breakfast when I go before 3pm only. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We came in from the Upper Peninsula as a family to a Big Boy because it had been years since we’ve been inside of one. It’s a small boy not a Big Boy but we can’t complain. The restaurant was very crowded but we still got our food in a pinch. I counted only two waitresses and one table busser working the midday shift, despite the short staffing(management should’ve stepped in to help so shame on you there that’s why you lost a star.) they managed it perfectly! You’re lucky to have those waitresses there, show some GENUINE respect for them. Even the bus girl gets a shoutout here. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We're from out of town and stopped for dinner after going to the movies. Our server Denise was awesome! She was super friendly and cheerful and checked on us frequently. I had spaghetti, my son chicken tenders and my boyfriend had a cheeseburger and fries. The food was good and hot when it arrived, didn't take too long either. We also got dessert because how can you not when you're at a big boy lol Hot fudge cake was to die for as always. Really nothing bad to say about our dining experience. No one was in the restaurant and was not busy when our party of 6 arrived. The server brought our drinks and made whoever was at the front of the table pass all drinks and when our food finally arrived we had the same senerio. Our food took over 40 minutes. We were able to go to the salad bar 2 x's and our drinks, and we still waited for our food. Food finally arrived, and it was horrible! 2 big boys so over cooked they crunched. The cheese on the top patty was burnt off. Extra sauce did not help us swallow it. We were never checked on while waiting for our food. Refills came after our food was delivered. The French Fries were mush and soggy. Your strawberry pie was excellent, though. The next time I visit my uncle, I will not take him here. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Went about a week ago while passing through. Not the first time we had come to this location, but same experience and food quality every time. Not the greatest experience for food you’ll have, but it does in a pinch or to curb a craving. Forgot to take pictures of my food this time because my order did come out without the toast that I asked for, and our waitress never came back around to ask how everything was. In fact, we never saw that waitress after she dropped our food off because what appeared to be her family came in and sat behind us - all of her attention was on them the rest of our time there. She didn’t even come back in to check on us after I flagged down another unenthused waitress to get my missing food and to place an order for some ice cream. The waiter was very kind, but the food wasn’t too good. The burger could’ve been cooked better. Don’t recommend the salad, it was awful, tomatoes were rotten/sour/inedible, lettuce super old, cucumbers were shriveled and gross.The salad is my biggest concern.
