This was my last autistic friendly spot in TC. But after the 2nd time in a row of having heat lamp crusty old food served to us I give up. When we walked in, the hostess and a server/bartender were fussing at eachother about seating. We sit down, order, wait a while… then another server starts crying and everyones gossiping in a circle. Immediately I knew my food was sitting under a lamp getting dried out and gross. Our server departed the gossip circle, went to the kitchen…popped out immediately with our food (cuz you know; its been done for a while) and I just start crying, ask for a refund and leave. They blamed my boyfriend for ordering steak to my quick easy wings… but his steak was also cold. Im not mad Im sad. I feel like it didnt have to happen. I feel like I dont deserve good, fresh food. We came in and were seated immediately. Then we waited 20 minutes for our server, as we were getting up to leave, another employee saw we were upset and leaving. His name was Bailey. He was asertive and immediately corrected the situation. He accurately took our order and turned what was going to be a bad experience in a pleasurable dining experience. My lady and I enjoyed their all you can eat rib-lets, boneless chicken wings, and crispy shrimp. All was very good, even after my 3rd serving. I've yet to have had a poor meal at an Applebee's, regardless of the state!Our server was very attentive, friendly, and courteous! Overall, I could have spent just as much at a fast food joint, eating in my car. Or enjoying the atmosphere, quality of food, drink, and served at a table for the same cost! I don’t know why I don’t come here more. They are always consistent. Always attentive. The price of food you can not beat. I will be honest, I was never a huge fan of Applebee's... However as of recently it's becoming one of my favorite places to eat. With prices everywhere out of control, this place is still very reasonable. Portions are decent also, unlike other places where they have revised prices AND cut portions considerably. You get seated within 5-10 minutes most days, which is nice. Service is very good. And the food is great. The prime rib dip sandwich is excellent. Oriental salad is excellent. Ribs are ok. Overall it's a great place to go out with family; you won't be disappointed with food and it won't cost you a fortune. Most recent visit made me feel like I was sitting next to a huge speaker at a rock concert the music was so loud. Don't mind rock music, but not at somewhat deafening volumes while trying to enjoy an Anniversay dinner. Food has always been good. Good service always depends on time of year & time of day....never has been consistently good. This visit our server forgot to put in our app so it was received later than needed, but was properly compensated for the mistake. My friend and came in this afternoon for lunch. We were both really dissapointed with our food and service. I am usually not one one to complain. Our waitress was not the greatest. It was not even busy and she had ordered waffle fries with her meal. She told her to take the order off because she got tired of waiting, the waitress laughed and a said she never put the order in as she forgot. how cute. her whole casual attitude like meh no big deal. My plate had a longer white hair on that she pulled out, I get things happen but check your food before it comes out becuase that was disgusting and unsanitary, She said she thought it was her hair and asked if she wanted it remade. i just ate my food. It was perfect! Super yummy extra crispy onion rings, and twice battered, bone-in Parmesan Garlic wings. If you've read this, You need some. You might as well just admit it to yourself...
