This is a nice spot for lunch. They’re located right in the plaza area and have plenty of food/drink options. The pizza crust is sourdough and worth ordering. We stopped here for an afternoon appetizer bite and drinks. Our waiter was very prompt and friendly and the Bravas potatoes were very good. Drinks were decent too. We sat outside and I found the abundance of dogs a little distracting but I guess that's a CA / Carmel thing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If trendy brew pubs with excellent brew and vibes is your thing, this is your place. This places in this small town is a total gem. The beer is great and the staff knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Place has good vibes. I didn’t dine here, which I regret. It looked nice. (Giving 5 stars for the beer) Will definitely be going back next I visit Carmel. Alvarado Street Brewery & Bistro provides a class American restaurant experience, complete with plenty of burgers, appetites, and salads. We ordered a variety of appetizers including hummus and pita and calamari. The food was decent -- my burger was a bit on the wet side and fell apart immediately -- but the kind waiting staff and fun atmosphere made up for it.
