All they food is loaded with pepper, no taste of anything else... the owner is a mean big lady,, the way she speaks to the ladies that work there as if she's better... be aware she up charges for extra or substitution but don't give it,,, and when she's standing there the girls that sell the food is afraid to put food in the container just by the way she looks at them... she gets annoyed when other races go in to purchase and she has to explain about the food.. Never had Guyanese food before but now I will be eating it often. The staff at the counter walked me through what each dish was and was polite to me. The food was delicious, had the jerk chicken and fried rice which had a unique flavor similar but different to Jamaican style. I had a fried hardboiled egg and fried fish cake (similar to a Portuguese fish cakes) that were delicious. I wanted to try more of the food they had available and for just 21 dollars I had plenty to eat. Even their small plates were a generous serving size. It's a hidden gem in my opinion. They are over priced. The food is ok. A small fried rice is $15 and the chicken and rice is cold. I feel violated. Their attitude is getting better. But the fat lady is still not friendly. I think that’s the way she is. The vegetable meals are very good and Roti. But their price is crazy… Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I visited this spot each time I pass through Schenectady. Friendly staffs and quick service. Sucks they don’t make pholourie anymore, I also like they Roti and fried fish. Inside always clean when visited, however the store open less days now than before. Went here for lunch today. Picked up the jerk chicken with rice meal. Wow!!! Very, very good. The chicken was fall off the bone tender, and the spice level was perfect! Enough to leave your lips tingling, but not so hot- that you can't enjoy it. The rice was moist, flavorful, and full of veggies. I had it topped with extra jerk chicken sauce! They had other great choices of main entrées as well. Curry chicken, goat, BBQ chicken, fish, and plenty of other sides and baked goods. Please go and try!!! It is sooooo worth it!
