Tourists, beware. The venue, the architecture is nice and interesting, the people local, but one is welcome only if he accepts the unspoken game: "Look, a tourist, lets pour him a cheap house wine from 2l bottle and bill him in a special way". So, yes, one doesnt get warm welcome there. If they dont want to be disturbed, they should had put up a sign or a red flag. A disrespectful, silent hill behaviour included. This is based on my experience in December 2019. The Pizzas were okay, but if they think you're a tourist they will gladly overcharge you for drinks. I have lived in Gozo a long time and know that you never pay what they were trying to charge me for a pint of Bavaria. Also, the toilets were filthy when we went in and there was no soap or toilet paper. Lovely.
