I've got a thing for old dive bars,this one doesn't disappoint. Cold beer and a very nice bartender. Not a lot of sitting space. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Definitely the number 1 dive bar in Lake County, IL. Fun patrons and great bartender. You need to check it out but only if you like dive bars! Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a true Lake County dive bar and that's not a bad thing. Half of it was built in 1936 and half in 1954. We visited Wolff's on a Friday nite. That particular Friday was a good and fun nite to visit. The patrons were really friendly and freely shared the "historical" details of the tavern. We chatted for about 45 minutes. We visited Saturday (last nite). It's still a fun place but there was a group of extremely intoxicated and LOUD women at one corner of Wolff's bar. I suppose that's a risk one takes in a dive bar on a Saturday nite. Wolff's had a meat raffle in the afternoon and folks brought a lot of food to satisfy during the raffle. There was a lot left when we arrived around 8 PM. In general, this is a great Lake County Dive Bar .

Defiantly the smallest and uneven bar I have ever been to!!!! But the customers and bartender are FANTASTIC and I had soo much fun! I will be back for sure.

This tavern has many great bartenders that are friendly and are completely open to conversation. The drinks there are great and quick and easy, and it feels almost like home as soon as you step into it, there's a few slot machines and a jukebox. There is a lake right behind the tavern that is exclusively for the people at the bar, dogs are even allowed to hang out in and around the bar. There is also a porch out back for smoking which really just makes it feel like home, i absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyonr i know

Cool dive bar. Cheap highlife. Friendly crowd. Small place & don't be surprised the North end is sinking. Big time. This makes walking & standing in the bar difficult. Pretty neat that way. Check it out! Btw for some reason they have a stripper pole in the low corner.
