Food was overcooked and didn't taste fresh... even being this close to the water. Was very pricey for what we had. Service was good. Decor was a bit dated. Great location. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The taste of the food is very good. I’ve eaten there many times, and never had an issue with the way the food is prepared or how it tastes. The only reason I gave a four-star is, every time I order the seafood platter, it is served on a small plate and the seafood is heavily covered with so many French fries I have to ask the server for another plate so I can remove some of the french fries so I can get to the seafood. The food was good just not inspired. I tasted all 4 dishes at the table. Everything was good just on the bland side. If you are into fresh bold flavors not exactly the right place. More calm laid back palettes will enjoy indeed. The staff members were all very nice sweet people. We enjoyed the history and the pictures located in this establishment. Along with a large beautiful salt water tank. Filled with beautiful fish and marine life. What a disappointment! Had eaten there in March and back to celebrate the new year with friends. Plain potatoes without butter/parsley were cold…had to be redone. Shrimp cocktail were the size of a quarter…or less! No hot bread or rolls! Saltine crackers! House salad dressing, a lite vinaigrette type, replaced with more of a ranch type. Not bad.,,just not what was being looked forward to! Sorry, but this meal did not in anyway says 4-5 star. I doubt I’ll ever be back! This place is great. Beautiful atmosphere along. It's along Biloxi Beach. The service was great. The food was good. Homemade slaw was great. I rated it 4 stars because it's not really seasoned. Everything else is 5 star. It's definitely a place to check out if you are in the area. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time there. Liked the atmosphere and the view was terrific. The staff was outstanding, waitress frequently checked on me! Point added. Got the seafood platter- catfish, oysters, shrimp, scallops, crab claws, stuffed crab, hush puppies, Cole slaw, and I got the parsley potatoes. Plenty to eat. Most was average for this area, oysters were a bit small. Really liked the potatoes and the stuffed crab imperial was of note, which is never the case as they are usually just flavorless stuffing. So, from the location of the building which is located at the edge of the beach - one would think you're about to be impressed. My first thought entering in.. I knew I was in a tourist seafood restaurant. That was not my worry, in fact I loved the aquarium at the front and the oyster shucking bar as well. I ordered the speciality grilled red fish that was priced at $25 that comes with a side of potatoes, two hush puppies and a side salad. When the food came out, I was not impressed. The plate looked like it was passed down two generations ago from a cafeteria. The filet itself was small as the side bowl of potatoes was almost bigger than the filet itself. The flavor was as expected and gone super fast as the bites went fast due to the small filet not hitting the spot. The presentation itself should have a zing to it for being on the ocean and having a price point like that. The wife ordered the corn chowder. The first bite reminded me of eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese. Definitely didn't taste like chowder or even corn chowder. Other than that everything was just.... Okay. Stopped in for a bite. Seated quickly. Friendly staff. Barq's in a bottle! Delicious seafood gumbo. The raw oysters were big and very tasty. The broiled oysters were cooked and seasoned just right. Even the fried dills were a good balance of breading! Over all, 100%! Definitely recommend. I am glad I stopped back in on an old favorite visiting home. So worth it!
