We used to hit virg's way back in the late 80s for the epic fish and chips. Was a small 2 table place with 1 guy behind the counter making his city famous fish and chips. Fast forward we thought we would see how this small shop is doing, and wad presently surprised. Nice and busy cafe, find your own table. Service was very quick, and with top notch attitude. Atmosphere wad pleasant, and good came quick to our surprise how busy they were. We were a little disappointed on the slightly burned toast bacon and the eggs not quite over medium. But that did not hamper our experience. We will be going back and trying again, may of just been a 1 off day, but we quite enjoyed our outing, even though it's been 40 years since our last visit. Wow! What a great place to eat. Wonderful wait staff and all the food we ate and saw was fantastic. We split our steak and shrimp and still took some back to the hotel. The ice cream with the meal was a real treat. Can't wait to get back to SLC to eat here again. I went there for the first time yesterday and I ordered "The" Special Burrito, and my expectations were met and exceeded! My first bite I couldn't believe how much flavor there was! Also, the hash browns that were inside it were crispy, which to be honest, was quite a surprise. I would have thought that it would have been pre-made ingredients, but I could tell that this was made fresh. Also, the burrito was so big there was no way to eat it all, so I had to take the rest home. My wife ordered the club sandwich, and it was spectacular as well. This turned out to be a special treat because we tried this restaurant for the first time and it was a gem! Always good service and food. Especially like the scones, chicken fried steak, waffles and coffee. Be prepared for big portions so come hungry. Full of flavor! This past time Brittany was our server. Best breakfast I’ve ever had. Here is why I chose to review and what makes their breakfast different from the standard based on my experience. Their batter has a bit of an almond bakery flavor to it, which made the pancakes and waffles so much more comforting. The fluffiness was perfect. The country fried steak was cooked to absolute perfection, not too crispy and super tender with plenty of gravy. The scone was a true fried scone that was ginormous. Quick, family friendly, generous portions, great prices, and the food was delicious. What else can I say?

What a great little diner. The portions are extremely generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is nice and friendly. The ham steak, as well as the chicken fried steak, are both very large portions and so good. And the scones are super tasty. Highly recommend this place. Old timer diner where they know you’re name if you’re a regular. We are not regular but the staff is always sweet to us. We ordered steak, eggs and country potatoes with a side of scone - YUMMI - my husband loved it. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which comes with 2 biscuits, gravy, hash browns, your choice of meat (I chose crispy bacon) and 2 eggs. Best kept secret tucked in a corner! The Service was Excellent! Kevin our waiter was on top of everything. The portion sizes are Enormous! We stuffed ourselves and still had so much leftovers to take home! Loved the small town feel of the place. Definitely will be our go to Restaurant!
