Nice little shop that serves delicious coffee and has an eclectic collection of items that are really fun to check out! Easy to find a one of a kind item to accompany the coffee! From local made cards and jewlery to a wide selection of loose tea ans accessories! Definitely worth stopping by!
I’m fairly new to Santa Barbara, 4 years. And I'm thankful to have found Vices & Spices. Each time I get wonderful and tasty recommendations for tea! I love getting my refills for my tea canisters there. It’s my go-to place to meet people for the first time. The staff there are always kind! It’s a win win for me!
I get my matcha powder at Vices & Spices and it's not only great quality, but it's a great price! They have lots of gift options if you're looking for something unique, and their tea and spice sections are both stocked very well. I've had their coffee once too and it was delicious!

The vibe is nice, but one of the workers accused me of not paying for my coffee when I already did. The coffee was so bad that I asked for an extra shout of vanilla. I asked to pay for a shot in both of my coffees the lady rung me up for a whole other coffee instead ($5) then proceeded to ask why I didn't pay for the other coffee. In a kind manner, I told her I did, and she gave me cash back. That's not acceptable. Seek to understand instead of assuming that's basic human rights. Please get a better barista she rude and makes terrible coffee.
One of the great oddball spots in town. Expansive (almost overwhelming) selection of coffees and teas, with a healthy assortment of trinkets and baubles. Boardgames and outdoor seating abound.
Staff was not very friendly at all. We enjoyed the selection of looseleaf teas they had, but don't really feel welcomed to return. Which is a bummer, because we just moved here and were excited about a spice and tea shop nearby.
An adorable little tea/coffee shop. For me, the greatest treasure here is the loose leaf teas. I'm particularly fond of the Queen Victoria. They also sell coffee (not my cup of tea) and have a small shop with various odds and ends (see photos). There are a few tables, although more for chatting than working I would say. The folks behind the counter were friendly, and quite understanding about my indecisiveness about which teas I wanted. Also very knowledgeable about the steeping of my tea. I will definitely be returning, and I hope to try all the tea!

I was just passing by Santa Barbara in late July, this lovely place was just across the street from our motel. Loved everything about this little shop. The owner is such a beautiful person. My tea was prepared perfectly. Loved meeting you! Don't forget the cream teas!

Cute decor, extensive spice selections, and tasty soymilk matcha latte! No wifi so no work here..
One of my top two favorite coffee shops in town! Great coffee, great service, and unique gifts. And a large variety of loose tea to purchase.
