Wow. What can I say.
Alex, the owner, met my partner and I a few nights a go and we knew within moments of meeting him that we needed to re-visit his restaurant for a meal. I am so glad that we did visit. Being from London, I've eaten food from all over the world, by chef's from all over the world. I am not exaggerating when I say, the food here is firmly in my top five meals of all time.
Alex very kindly opened the restaurant for just my partner and I and I will be forever grateful. The truffle mushroom pasta was so unbelievably good, I will be telling my future children about it. That is best dish of food I've ever had. Ever. The seafood selection was that fantastic that my partner and I, normally quick eaters, took our time to enjoy every bite. Something as simple as bread to enjoy with the seafood, appeared as if it was toasted to the exact temperature required for maximum enjoyment. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, juicy yet cooked perfectly throughout. The fried cheese, somehow found a way to exceed my expectations. Everything was prepared with love.
The cheesecakes as well, speechless. Absolutely incredible.
If you are staying nearby to Özdere, whether as a local resident or a tourist on holiday, you HAVE to visit this man and sample his cooking. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't spend at least one day here.
I will never forget today. Thank you Alessandro. I wish you many more years of success and I wish to see you again upon my next visit to Özdere.
Moving on to the atmosphere itself, Alessandro has a very good taste in music. His restaurant/bar has a relaxed yet impressive vibe to it. Alessandro himself has a very welcoming attitude to him, not overbearing or pushy, yet he finds a way to draw you in.
We found ourselves spending the rest of the day at the bar, where Alessandro's hospitality never ceased, offering us blankets as we observed the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen and conversed with other customers who all say the same, this is a great place to unwind.
We fly back to the UK on Monday and yet I find myself trying to squeeze one or two more visits.
