First timer today. I had the wet burrito with asada. I also ordered it with half red and half green salsa. It was very good. The asada is delicious, with a great taste. I am obsessed with their tortas! They sell the most delicious tortas in Whittier and they are giant! I work in uptown, so I had to invite my co-workers to try them. My family and I loved “Uptown Taqueria Wen Chef.” The food was excellent, very flavorful, with many different menu options. I ordered carne asada sopes, my family ordered, tacos and quesadillas. We even ordered pozole to take home for another day too. They also had both indoor/outdoor seating which both were clean and simplistic. The workers were also very personable and thorough with our orders. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want real, authentic Mexican food. The tacos and sopes are my absolute favorite! Asada and Al Pastor are my go to and they are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm not a foodie (first restaurant review ever) but on Monday I had the three tacos, beans & rice plate, and I have to say - they were Very Good; some of the best I've ever had. My wife and I went in to try it and just had two tacos in case we didn't like it. We ended up ordering more,because they were really good. It's a basic taco without all that stuff people put on. The asada was perfectly seasoned but my favorite was the alpastor. It tasted very similar to king taco from back in the day but better. The red salsa is very good. At first I was like,it's just another taco spot in whittier,but this one stands out. I Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
