Here's the thing. I belong to a local FB page and there has been some talk about Tu Taco and a DD order that went wrong due to Tu Taco not filling the order. The question is about service. I work close by to this Conway location and I do feel the service is not good. Extremely relaxed and I don't think the individuals serving really care about the customers, repeat business or providing a nice experience. The first time I visited, it was different because I don't know if it was the owner present, but definitely a person of authority, because everything was amazing. SInce then, no. THe food is good. I lived in LA for ten years, and I know a good street taco and other mexican delites. I have eaten from many authentic mexican meals from a food truck, which in the old days they called roach coaches, and some of the best hole in the wall Mexican restaurants in LA that were way off the beaten path. And again, the food is good and freshly prepared. Some of the prices are a little high. The side order of guacamole and chips is $5.95 and not worth it. Abundance of chips but about 1.5 ounces, if that, of guacamole. Way over priced. My last experience a few weeks ago was certainly lacking in service or attention. What I ordered, seems to be a special, and could of saved me some dollars, but the counter help taking my order, did not say a thing, and I went with it because it shows such a lack of initiative to have repeat business and someone who cares and has ownership of their job. Maybe the owner needs to be a constant presence to get it right. And I notice that the owner reaches out to the 5 star reviews, but let's see if they reach out to me and offer a solution to their very uninterested counter staff. UPDATE - response from owner wanting me to reach out to them - says call and ask for manager no phone number provided or name - so the customer is supposed to do the leg work and not the restaurant - that is so bad and proves what I am saying - and today a friend of mine wanted to go there so we did - another disaster - i ordered the bean and cheese burrito and it says right on the menu - crema, gucamole, pico, rice, cheese - when i placed the order i confirmed all ingredients per the menu, and the woman behind the counter said yes - all included - when I received my order, none was included and I showed her. First she says, oh no that doesn't come with bean and cheese burrito - i say well that is not indicated on the menu, then she checks with the grill guy who starts arguing with her in Spanish. Then eventually she says oh it does come with it - we'll make your a new one. Sorry. What is going on here - seriously ??? and this one person behind the counter is taking walk in orders, orders over the phone, handing pick up orders and everything else while two employees are literally standing behind her doing nothing - as the line grows behind me - train your staff - multi task - worst customer service which I had read before.
