It was very busy when I went, and I actually had to wait to be seated. The food was good, but the waitress didn't seem to comprehend that we wanted one meal to go. After a little confusion we just asked for the to go container and to be served 3 meals with only 2 of us sitting there. Then we packed it ourselves. I always love going here. They have large portions for a decent price. I haven't ordered anything yet that was not tasty. There wasn't a wait at all and the restaurant staff is very friendly, very accommodating and very quick. Also, they have decaf coffee. Which is a huge plus for me. Went here for the first time with my family for dinner. I had the Hawaiian melt it was pretty good! Definitely us that Luke's Diner feels from Gilmore Girls, which is a good thing. The staff was super friendly and very festive. It is a very good experience and definitely makes me want to come back the next time I visit my family in Antigo! The food was good for the most part. I had a slight reaction to the homemade bread, but the food was nice otherwise. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very bland and not very themed in any way. The staff were okay. The host wasn't super nice and not the most warm towards us. I don't know if I'd visit again, but it's not the worst. First off we got there table was stucked and had syrup everywhere had to request 2x to wipe table down. The mens bathroom is fricken disgusting and smells like week old pee. We were a table of 5. 2 meals were not ok. Kids burger was over cooked and dry. My breakfast trucks special... my hash was burnt and hidden on the bottom bacon was chewy like it was made wayyyy before we got here. Ham was burnt. Toast was soggy. Eggs were fried hard and not overeasy This is the 2nd time I have tried the place and sadly the last. We only thought the food here was ok. I got the baked Haddock special and it had a fishy tasty, but also the seasoning added was not good. My daughter ordered the chopped steak and I never read about on the menu, but when it came out, there were almost more onions than steak. I am kinda wondering why they wouldn't have asked a child ordering it if they were ok with onions (because of them being on top only and excessive). I love onions,, but the onions did NOT taste good. Her steak in and of it self was ok. My sons ordered the walleye, I would say that was average. Lastly, my husband got the jumbo shrimp, he would give that 4 to 5 stars. My daughter got the Alfredo and added chicken. She liked it. The mashed potatoes and the coleslaw as sides were just OK.
