Valentine's dinner! We have never been here before but had heard some good things about the food. We decided to give it a try since our regular favorites were booked for this day. I booked a reservation 4 weeks ago. I requested a warm corner table or booth as my husband is somewhat hearing impaired. Whenever I have ever booked a reservation and there are outdoor seating options I have been offered indoor or outdoor or at the very least the heads up this is outdoor patio seating. We'll lo and behold we are walked to the patio. When I told her we wanted an indoor table I was told this is your table. My God, it was too cold to remove your coat. Yes there are above head heaters that deliver a bit of a buffer but bring a lap blanket! As if that was not enough the highway noise 50 feet away and the freight train 100 yards away is just too much! It's like dining on the medium of a 4 lane highway! I felt duped by the lack of transparency with the seating. Yes the food is above average and the service was fine but I have had a more pleasant experience at a burger joint! It's not just about the pasta lol.. Might try the bar at some point...at least it's warm! Maybe not!! Update: I received a response from Justine about our experience. I do appreciate the response but I was not offered as you stated an option for indoor or outdoor seating. I also left a comment in reservation notes requesting a warm corner table or booth. Wow! If you want great tasting, authentic, flavorful food, then come here! The service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely perfect! The onion soup was the best I've ever had!! Our server Philip was amazing and so professional. He gave the absolute best service and was so accommodating since we had our toddler with us. This was our first time in and we were a bit skeptical to go in with a young child since it looked so nice inside. But Philip made us feel welcomed and was so kind even when our little one was being a bit of a nightmare. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and we absolutely loved everything we ordered. We will most definitely be returning for date nights and we are so happy we found a nice Italian restaurant to frequent. It’s a very average Italian restaurant. I think they wanted to make the atmosphere more fancy and nice but I think because of the location and the way it was built are not matching the vibe. Price is reasonable for this type of food. But I definitely don’t recommend for romantic occasion. As far as the food, I was very excited to try according to reviews but it ended up being very so so. The Chargrill NY steak was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I believe there was some coffee grounds in the seasoning, it was not a bad thing. We were there for a special event, and the meal options were salmon and steak. Folks who chose salmon were also pleased with it. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We will definitely be back. There was plenty of parking when we arrived for lunch. The front door staff was friendly and welcoming. We were seated right away. Our server was there right away to take our drink order. She was very friendly and funny. She returned with our drinks quickly and took our meal order. We ordered spaghetti Bolognese. The food arrived in a timely manner and was still warm. The garlic and seasoning in the sauce made it very delicious. The sausage was full of flavor and firm but not hard. The noodles were soft but not mussy. They were also easy to twirl. Our server checked back frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. All of the flavors and textures made for a fantastic meal. This was a very enjoyable experience. We met some friends here with our kiddos for lunch. My first impression was great! The maître d' was very cordial and was more than happy to sit us outside. It was a little chilly, so he made sure the overhead heaters were on for us. Service was prompt; our waitress was there within minutes to get our drink orders. After those came out, she took our food orders and some delicious bread was brought out for the table. The food was divine. My wife and I both ordered the chicken parmesan with veggies. My daughter loves spaghetti and Toscanos spaghetti did the trick. By the end of the meal, her face and dress were stained with the sauce! You can't ask for a better seal of approval. Toscanos has high quality food, a lovely outdoor seating area, and we felt valued as customers (which can be difficult with little ones sometimes). Always a most pleasant experience! 😎 Great beer selection. The wine selections are extensive. Customer service is top-notch. Food is phenomenal. Word to the wise, catch a seat on the newly renovated patio, and enjoy some live music!
