WD holds a special place in my heart for introducing me to an amazing IPA, Tropicannon. Most of my experience has been with the bar service and in that area they do a good job considering how busy they get I’ve eaten here a few times over the years and the food has always been pretty good. The crabby poppa w crab bisque soup is my go to. The only issue with eating there is the strong possibility of being seated near a loud table of people getting smashed, even during the day. A renovated slaughterhouse from the old days where rail was big in Lynchburg makes for a really neat atmosphere. The po boy with Cajun remoulade was great! The sweet potatoes fries were a little overdone but the sweet honey and sea salt balanced really well. Overall happy and we will make this a regular spot on our visits to Lynchburg. 5 stars all the way! If you're looking for something a little different than the run of the mill meal- this is your place to go! The Salmon Salad and the Chicken Jerk Nachos were awesome! We also split the Berry Pie dessert thing with ice cream. Mmmmmm...! We were just traveling through, but it ended up being a terrific find! Ann Marie, you made our meal even more enjoyable, with your infectious smile and welcoming demeanor! Thanks for a great lunch!
