Pros
- glad to get a reservation same day. Very gracious service staff to also accommodated a larger party than expected. I though it just might be me and no one else would think it’s worth the cost. As it turned out no one wanted to be left out, including a teenager.
- Surprisingly very Kid friendly, they have their own menu and a high seat. Never too early to introduce the little ladies to high tea 😊
- accommodated all ages of our party from 3yo to 70yo
- it’s a beautiful ambiance in middle of an even more Botanical garden
- the setting is so serene and pleasant, could spend all day there if allowed in bliss
- appreciated the vegan desserts, not expecting this at all.
Cons
- for the price it’s always disappointing that High Tea had several potential options but you only get one choice of a tea.
- the actually quality of the tea I had was bland . It was an herbal tea but I was still looking forward to more flavor profile. It was not just me, the other adults there felt their tea was not strong enough, disappointing.
- May have needed another tea bag and the water was not very hot on arrival.
- the sandwiches not the highest quality but most were edible. Presentation over flavor.
- In hindsight I suspect the reason theEarl Grey was sold out, was that it may have been the only tea to get.
Despite the cons, it’s still a must for tea lovers, just stick with the basics.

The perfect place to spend a splendid brunch or lunch. Afternoon tea here is delicious as well as the food served. The staff is very friendly and the environment is stunning. The scones were the best!!!

My first thought; who wants to eat a curry carrot and rasin sandwich? Absolute madness.
To start, this is not real English afternoon tea. My wife and I have had the pleasure of experiencing real English afternoon tea many times in England for a fraction of the price. The only time we ever spent this much on the experience overseas, it literally dropped our jaws. This on the other hand was priced like expensive English afternoon tea but the equivalent of bargain bin at the local grocery store. Do yourself a favor and spend $120+ on a nice dinner elsewhere.
The tea was the best part of the meal, but cold with average flavor at best. The bread was stale and sandwiches fairly uninspired: onion, onion, and oh my, more onion. Only one meat option and it was boring. The deserts tasted like assorted pastries from a Ralph's bakery and the scones were the same from the cafe at the entrance only marked up 300%. Another issue is a lack of jam choice and the fact that the cream was not English clotted cream. It was more like whipped cream and they didn't even provide enough. English clotted cream must be baked in an oven for 12 hours. It has a really rich, thick consistency but this was simply a watered down option for convenience. $60+ dollars a serving worth $20 at best.

Make sure you arrive early because the tea room is a 10min walk from the parking.
Low rating because they make you buy tickets in order to spend $150 on the high tea and then they closed right after and rudely shepherded us out from the garden so we didn’t get to enjoy the grounds at all despite being forced to pay admission.
That said, our server Juan was lovely.
