We don't go often since it's pricier but they have some great wine and scotch options... they take time to find some unique and great menu options. Nice to come after work every now and then to unwind. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Charcuterie Board

This is possibly the most obnoxious review I've posted, so I apologize for that. It is not about the staff, they were great. It's about the wine and tapas of a place that advertises its wines and tapas. Both of our wines were way too green. It is nice to find wines that are out of the ordinary, but they also need to be aged properly. The French expression is "ça râpe", or it grates (your palate). This French segue will be important later - and part of why this review is obnoxious. We ordered two tapas out of the 8ish available - the hummus and the charcuterie board. I'm fine with a small selection, if it means the quality will be there; reader, it was not. The hummus was supposed to have "warm pita points". They were not warmed, at all. As raw as the three carrots that came with it. The hummus was salted by hand, I think, because some parts were overly salty and others were not salty at all. The carrots were peeled, so there's that. Then came the charcuterie board. It came with a lot of things, very few of which - only one, actually - was charcuterie. Now for a couple of semantic points: As indicated in the menu, I was expecting a "chef's selection of cured meats". The use of the word selection, along with the pluralized form of the word meat, made me expect a bit more than four slices of spicy salami, alas it was all we got. I had to look up in the dictionary if the word selection as used in the menu implied more than one meat as I thought, and I think it does, but hey, I'm French, so while I'm obnoxious I can't really arbitrate matters of English semantics. On the other hand, being French means I'm an expert on the word "charcuterie", which means "cooked meats" (char meaning chair, flesh, and cuterie having a shared root with cuit, cooked). So cheese? Not charcuterie. Pickles? Not charcuterie. Bread? Not charcuterie (it was decent though). Pesto? Not charcuterie. Unidentified tiny veggies? Not charcuterie. Mustard? Not charcuterie - I suspect it was Maille mustard though, real French mustard available at a lot of grocery stores for cheap. Nuts are also not charcuterie, although they were advertised on the menu but not on our plate. But I think you get the point. To conclude, I'd like to point out that the wine I had is "Roches neuves", not "Roches nueves", because nueves is spanish for nines, and that the non-charcuterie stuff is called "accoutrements", not "accouterments", though apparently accouterments is the plural of accoutrement in English because of course it is. We hosted a farewell brunch at The Cellar following our son’s wedding. It was a great decision! They handled everything from providing excellent food and drinks (at a very reasonable price point) to professional servers and cozy seating areas for the large wedding party. Communication with Candace was frequent and easy, and she provided welcome guidance regarding the menu. My only regret is that we weren’t in Buena Vista long enough to return in the evening and try the tapas and wine. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We recently hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner at the Cellar on RR. It was a perfect low-key venue. The food catered by the owners was fabulous! I heard about the “amazing brisket” all weekend. I would highly recommend the Cellar for your smallish welcome/rehearsal dinner, family reunion, business gathering, etc. You will not be disappointed!
Tacky woman with short blonde Karen hair cut EXTREMELY rude. TRY ANYWHERE ELSE IN BV Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
