Stopped here on my way back to Sioux Falls after checking out their burger menu. I got the avocado fries with spicy ranch They were pretty good. A little too much breading for me, but the flavor was good. The main meal was the reaper burger & Cajun fries. If you like heat, this burger is for you! I'm from TX, so I like things a little on the hotter side. This was perfect. I also got the excelsior rip rap peanut butter cup stout. Omg.... so smooth. Just the right level of PB & chocolate. If you are a stout drinker, try this. I was seated right away on a busy Thursday night during the dinner rush. My server was very friendly & helpful. I'd definitely go back. The food was great and the service was fast. I would recommend getting the pulled pork or the wings. Here is a little information from their website: In 1979 two professors at the University of Colorado started Boulder Brewing Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery. At that time there were only 42 other operating breweries in the country! The original site of the brewery was a small farm northeast of Boulder, the brew house sharing space in a shed originally housing a few goats. In a world of light yellow lagers, Boulder Brewing Company won industry and consumer accolades for its line of bold Boulder Beers: Boulder Porter, Stout and Extra Special Bitter. Five years later the brewery moved to 2880 Wilderness Place in Boulder and expanded from its original one-barrel brewing system to a 50-barrel brew house with top-of-the-line packaging equipment. In 1990 Boulder Brewing Company was purchased by Gina Day and Diane Greenlee, and they transformed the factory into a brewery and restaurant, renaming the business“ Boulder Beer Company.”. This same year Brewmaster David Zuckerman joined the Company and soon introduced Colorado favorites Buffalo Gold and Singletrack Rye Pale Ale. In 1994 Boulder Beer Company converted the original tasting room to a full-menu pub with an epic, dog-friendly patio under the iconic Flatirons Mountains. In addition to providing year-round brewery fresh beer favorites, including nitro and cask offerings, the pub provided a full-service restaurant with food, wine, and spirits. The pub also featured free public brewery tours and live music events on the patio during the Summer months.... Theses folks have BURGER GAME! My teenage son and I each ordered a different burger and they were both FANTASTIC! Had great service and a nice atmosphere. Music wasn’t too loud to prohibit comfortable conversation which I’m grateful for. Was in town for other business and stopped for lunch but I’d say this is Worth the trip from the cities. Make a good motorcycle run in the summer! We visited Boulder Tap House in Mankato while we were in town for a hockey tournament. The food was terrific- especially the massive cheese curds (cubes)! The most exceptional part of our visit was our waitress Zoe. She was so attentive and insanely skilled at handling large parties. My waitress was really nice and did a great job. I got the cheese curd burger and it was ok. The cheese curd were really good but the burger was a little dry and not enough sauce. Hubby and I had a fantastic lunch today. We brought more leftovers with us than we ate! The cheese curds are a dream, WOW! Mike was our waiter and excellent! I was picky about my sandwich ( no onions, no mushrooms etc) he got everything exactly right!
