If you need something, it is probably here! There is an ATM outside, Amazon delivery box location outside, ACE hardware, groceries, souvenirs, beach supplies, and a Hunt Brothers Pizza all inside. Grocery prices are a little higher, but produce is fresher than at the name brand stores on Galveston
this store is racist! the white older lady (register) and the other white lady (bagging) were very comfortable talking to the white couple in front of us in line and as soon as it was our turn, which included my 2 friends and i who are mexican, it got quiet and they were rude. we said hi and tried to start a conversation like they were having with the white couple and they ignored us didn’t even want to look at us and talked amongst themselves. and when we were leaving we told them thank you and to have a good day and we still got ignored. very disappointed.

This place was very busy. They also have everything you might need. They have food, souvenirs, and household repair items. They had a good selection of everything.
July 2023:
The Big Store is bigger than you think where inside will find a huge place where you can find practically anything. It's part grocery store, hardware, food court, and beach souvenir shop. Of all the years I have been here the same old man still greets shoppers as they enter. He is also the security guard where may look old and frail but I would not mess with him.
The place is fully stocked with grocery items especially beer & hard seltzers and ice. They have a cool walk in freezer for that. They also have fishing supplies and bait. I noticed the apparel was refreshed and picked up a shirt to wear. Basically a fun place to room around. They even serve pizza and fried chicken.
Its a mini big box one shop place where a must to visit especially staying on Crystal Beach for the week. The statues outside gives it that art gallery appeal to beautify this place.
Fantastic store, best in the area! They have everything you need! Groceries, clothing, souvenirs, toys, tools, fishing equipment, ice, beverages, and so much more! The staff and the locals are super friendly and helpful. The lines to check out are pretty intimidating but they go by rather quickly! Be prepared to spend some time looking around the place is a lot larger than you expect!
They got everything you need here and a lot of stuff you don't, but you're still going to buy it anyway. They actually got a pretty nice little food section. On wednesdays they have quite a deal
Island Prices.. to be expected. Very convenient and they have most everything. BUT... "manager??" was extremely rude to us. I know they are busy... but, at least be nice to folks asking for help in finding something. Also, don't put folks that can't speak English amongst hordes of tourists. I can only imagine how those folks feel that are trying to make a living but can't really help folks out that don't speak Spanish!!! I asked for a military discount (always do) and was told that "I am very sorry, we don't do that here, but we should" by the cashier. But, she made sure to say "thank you for your service" in a very genuine gesture. Great touch. I was going to give 3 stars because of the management (or lack thereof) but, the lady behind the cash register saved the day for y'all. If I feel this way again when we head down there again, I'll be sure to reflect that in my next review. Not sure they even read these reviews.

As other reviewers have said, this store has a bit of everything. If you're on vacation and need something, you'll probably find it at this store. Groceries, alcohol, toys, souvenirs, and of course all the things you'd find at a hardware store.
The prices are what a tourist can expect to pay. Dollar General, which is right up the street, is definitely cheaper but doesn't have the large selection.
The store is pretty crowded, and everything seems a bit crammed in which made shopping and browsing less enjoyable.
I went in for pizza from Hunt Brothers (pizza was decent) which is inside this store as well. Thought about grabbing some snacks and groceries, but the lines were crazy long due to spring break. (Observed several young spring breakers buying alcohol without being asked for ID, which is a huge issue for me.)
Overall, if you're on the peninsula and need something, this store probably has it.
