I’m gluten free and also sugar free. This is the only place in southern Rhode Island that I go to for lunch for outstanding food and flavor. Everything is amazing and you can tell the chef really puts love into his cooking!
Also, I love how the sandwiches mostly aren’t made with deli meat. Everything is fresh and thick cut. It’s amazing.

February 4th, 2024—My husband discovered this coffee shop while we were staying at the Preserve Resort and Spa. On the day we checked out, I insisted on visiting this coffee shop. There's ample parking available. We visited on a Sunday around 11 am. The first thing that catches your eye is the sign with the business name in pink. Upon entering, the combination of pink and brown colors creates a pleasant atmosphere. To the right of the entrance, there's an old typewriter, which I found to be cool! The whole place exudes character. They offer various products for sale, such as coffee, t-shirts, and other goodies. The menu is displayed on screens and an actual menu avilable . The kitchen is spacious, allowing customers to see what's cooking. The chef is friendly and genuinely cares about his clients, putting his heart into his cooking. I can only imagine how wonderful this place is in the summertime. They also offer outdoor seating. There's ample indoor seating available as well. They do have a bathroom, though you have to walk through the kitchen to reach it. It felt like I was in NYC while heading to the bathroom; some tiny restaurants in NYC have a similar layout. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The food was excellent. I particularly liked how the chef cooked the Rosemary with the potatoes; the rosemary had a toasty flavor, which I appreciated.
I have to add the music , great selection of music add that to my experience I felt like it was 1950s again
Ok, the best darn bagels we've ever had. WOW. The coffee was delicious too. I'm not sure if she was the owner but she was genuine, cheerful (we loved her chef's hat), as was the assistant . We will positively be back again. Great job.

Excellent pastries and coffee. Don't let this place fool you with its nonchalant demeanor, they know how to make coffee and pastries. I highly recommend the scones and the cinnamon roll, and I am known to be a cinnamon roll snob. The seating area is simple, but that's a pleasure when you're just trying to enjoy your morning coffee and a treat.

The barista was extremely knowledgeable and made a great latte. I even came back later for another drink because I wanted to try more of the menu and got a matcha with a house made syrup . Their selection of to go drinks was also unique, and I got one to go. I unfortunately had already ate because their pastries looked delicious. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be back.

An absolute gem of a place. The folks who own and work there are so welcoming and completely customer focused. The vibe is so cool and comfortable. And, the food is DELICIOUS! The very best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had. Yummy coffees. The other baked goods are to die for, as well. The panini egg sandwich on their own bread was the perfect breakfast. Oh and the bagels are sooo good!
If I could give more stars I would. Highly recommend.
Note - the line may move slowly (because they treat customers with patience and full attention) it is totally worth the wait. It’s kind of nice to just slow the pace, right?

I stopped here randomly because I was early to meet someone, and badly needed some caffeine. The woman who helped me at the counter was super sweet, and just all around friendly. I ended up adding a gluten free chocolate chip cookie to my order. It was not just a great gluten free cookie, but also just a great chocolate chip. The woman behind the counter saw me eyeing the racks upon racks of mini muffins. She said they only do the minis on the weekend. It seems like a great way to get a snack for a little one. Or,if you’re me, you see that more as an opportunity to try a variety. I can’t wait to go back.
This place just opened on June 30 and I was so excited to try it! Got the breakfast bite w/ ham and cheese and the blueberry pancake bite (amazing!!). Their coffee is also top notch. And all for a reasonable price. If you’re heading to the beach, would highly recommend stopping at the Beach Rose for coffee/breakfast!
