I can't review the food here as that would involve having been seated by the rude hostess. Opentable showed spots available & I was able to make a reservation for 4:45 but when I got there, was told no tables were available for at least 90 minutes despite there being open ones and it being just after 4:30 pm- hardly prime time for dinner. When I mentioned this to her, I was rudely dismissed and looked at like I was making this reservation up- she didn't even bother to look in the computer. I don't know how this person got their job in the SERVICE industry & maybe the food is good here, but any place that hires someone like that as the 1st person you interact with, won't ever get a single penny of my money. There's way too many other restaurants with decent - and I'm setting my standards low - service that I'll never go back here. And as you can see in the photo I took after I left- they were still showing lots of tables "available".
Let me start by saying the food was AMAZING. Like, really really good. I'm taking a star off because the menu itself was not overwhelming. There wasn't a lot on there I wanted to eat. But, again, what we did have was great, and the large pasta dish was a refreshingly appropriate portion. The beer was decent, the waitstaff fantastic. The location was really cool, although not serving dinner outside was another few points off. I'd go here for restaurant week.
Solid beer and the food is good, what more could you want? Good service? Got it. Comfortable space? Boom, nailed it. More beers than you could taste in one session? Double that! Try the falafel burger and a beer you wouldn't normally get. You won't be disappointed.
Open modern layout, three casks in addition to a dozen+ taps, I really wanted to like this place but the beer quality was disappointing. Lots of basic onion-y hop-forward beers, and the cask conditioning was in a bad state for both the Mild and Session IPA (flabby and flat in the mouth rather than silky and fine). Service was less than stellar, the bartender seemed disinterested in her job as if serving customers was a burden.

Exceptional beer offerings. The list of Bluejacket beers is fantastic. The 4oz tasters allow you to sample so many of their great beers. There are several unique IPAs to try, but do not miss the Tripel, Shaking Through. That might be the best beer on the menu. Twist, was also great, for a sour. Visit during the day for a laid back experience.

The onion ring burger was delicious as well as the homemade tater tots. The ordering system was quite strange though. I wish you could customize things with a special instructions box or have an option to ask for sauce.
I made a reservation here for a work function after reading all the other great reviews. We were NOT disappointed. Although I was worried at first because while some of us were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, we grabbed a beer at the bar and the bar tender was incredibly rude and behaved like we were a burden. I know everyone has bad days but man, it almost made me want to leave. BUT, the rest of the evening was stellar. Our server, Alex, was pleasant, attentive and accommodating. The brew and food were delicious, everyones order was correct and our server was kind enough to allow us to split all the checks (15 of us!). I would most definitely return next time I'm in that part of DC.

Holy chickpeas, I love this restaurant. Things that you must try: Fried Chickpeas, Kale Caesar Salad (without chicken), Veggie burger. I was not impressed by the Charcuterie (sp?) plate, so I would skip this if you can. I tried the bloody mary, which was good. However, you come here to try the beer. Great selection and I love that you get to choose between a taste and a full pour. Will be back...after baseball season.

I miss living near this place. Beer is great and it rotates a lot so you can try new stuff. Food is solid and the vibe is great.
Great home brew beers, must try the Belgian trippel! Good venue for post-Nats game, or for al fresco drinks (when the DC weather allows)
