Service is always friendly and quick. The menu selection is diverse. The food is STELLAR. The “plates”, the sides, the salads, the “buckets”, and the sauces are amazing. I haven’t had a single item here that wasn’t enough for me to come back. Great job Thatcher’s crew. This place is always so good. Today, it was so fantastic I just had to give them a shout out. The waitress I had was so kind. The food came out quickly during prime time. The banana pudding was amazing—and not a tiny portion. The burger was fabulous. The fried pickles are superb. Paper towels are kept at the table for you as well as all condiments. Love that. I wanted to give this restaurant a better review seeing how most people think it's good, But.. When we went in on a Wednesday afternoon, tables were dirty so we sat in the center section. It was really cold in the area but there wasn't much choice. We ordered, then were asked several times what we had ordered. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. Mine was barely warm. I liked the coleslaw but it was a bit too sweet. Mac and cheese had a powder consistency. I enjoyed the Brunswick stew even though it wasn't hot. Meat was good and sauces were good. My husband's order was wrong which after asking several times, you'd thought it would be right. Portions were a good size but I noticed that other people were complaining about wrong orders and wait time. Wait staff were friendly but I don't think we'll be back. We loved the Porky Bucket and The Green Feather bucket (chicken and jalapeno). Pork platter was good but half of the pork was pretty dry. Fortunately, the sauce is good. Side choice is important. I had the sweet green beans which were very sweet (not a fan), the sweet potato tots, which I liked a lot, and onion rings which were good.
