Solid, standby bistro. Grilled swordfish is excellent, no wine sauce and still superb. Drinks good though pricey. Servers overbooked but conscientious of personal service. Overall one of the better places in Abilene to eat, drink and gather. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

BF took me here for date night and I’m so glad he did. The food was phenomenal as were the drinks. They have multiple pages for drink options and more than just beer. 5/5 would highly recommend. This is one of the better restaurants in the area. The food is a bit pricey but it's good. They have a nice menu. I will usually stop here for dinner when traveling through. Any excuse to go to Abilene just to visit Taylor County Taphouse. Would never have thought it but you've got to try the Bat Out of Hell Meatloaf. The drinks on the seasonal bar menu are fantastic! I didn’t like this place when it first opened. My wife suggested I try it again and glad I did. It was pretty darn good. We started with the Satans Huevos Deviled Eggs. They were great. A spicy little kick and a crunchy fried crawfish on top. Very unexpected nice flavor. I got the Chicken and Shrimp Pasta. The shrimp were huge and Chicken was nicely cooked. The Alfredo Sauce was very good. I got some toast to dip in the sauce and it was buttery and toasted perfectly. You can’t go wrong with this meal and I can’t wait to get back and try some different things. Also, worth mentioning was the service. Elizebeth was our waitress. She knew the menu very well and both of our choices were her recommendations. Spot on, she was on top of everything from the time we were seated.
