The place is very good. The drinks and food taste very good. The prices are affordable. I like to go on Fridays to listen to the DJ's music because he always plays the songs requested by people. The fact that sometimes the owner is there to make sure everything is fine, gives a special touch to the place. Stopped in for a late lunch, the food was pretty good. Maybe because we were between shifts... the server was very attentive and but the atmosphere was just a little unsettling. Great place. Here is where you need to come for Taco Tuesday. Great deal for unlimited tacos and $1 margaritas with multiple flavors you can’t beat that. They tacos were so good and the meat was really juicy. Also had great music. My waitress; Kamila was so lovely and kind. I’ve been here in the past when under old management, not the best. However, the new management has really stepped this place up to another level! The plates are delicious. Love the tacos Al carbon, elote, pozole, and I always get the limited time/seasonal items that never disappoint. And the DRINKS!! Not only fun and Instagram-worthy, but soooo delicious. I have to be careful I have a driver when I come here now because they always have new drinks I want to try!! Great Job, Arandas Pasadena!! Let's get past the fact that they can't decide if they want to be a nightclub or a restaurant. If you can hear the person in front of you talking, I'll buy your first margarita. Arandas was never my first choice, but they're more convenient than some of the other Taquerias around me. And if this was the first time that they had completely gotten my order wrong, I wouldn't be writing this review. But as the saying goes, fool me once, shame on me, fool me half a dozen times, what are you even doing! To add insult to injury, when I brought up their mistake, I was greeted with attitude and eye rolls. Not from one server, but all three that I had to talk to, just to get my order corrected. Did I mention that during the whole process, no one, not anyone even said, "I'm sorry." It looks like I've learned my lesson and will not be allowing myself to be disappointed in Taqueria Arandas for a while. We're breaking up Arandas, and yeah, it's you, not me. The place was almost empty, basically dead inside, and yet waiting for service took a long time, like refills or for the waitress to come back and ask if we are ready to order. That being said, they need to hire more waiters/waitresses. My wife ordered some kind of chicken plate, it was OK, only the surface where the spices lay had flavor. I ordered the birria tacos. I tried several from different establishments, and this one was OK, but not as good as the other ones. The tacos themselves were good, no problem there whatsoever, but the consome had no flavor AT ALL. It looks great in the picture, but that’s all. The ones that do taste good , i will literally drink it all from the cup and not waste any. So that was a bit of a disappointment. Rice was ok, but the charro beans were VERY good. Even the wife who is very picky with her food kept telling me how much she liked the beans. They had that very specific grainy texture, but the flavor was definitely on point. All in all, it was OK, they charge $3.50 each for the mexican cokes. So between my wife and my baby who had a kids meal it came out to $45 ($12 was from the mexican cokes) . I would not mind coming back, but with so many restaurants and taco trucks in the area, competition is very fierce for your mexican food craving. It was good. The combination plate didn’t look like the picture but it was ok. They had to clean the table because it was dirty. It wasn’t busy at the time. But I liked the environment. It was pretty.
