The place wasn’t busy, I’m surprised since Sunday mornings are always busy with taco orders. With that being said, it’s a SEAT YOUR SELF restaurant so no you won’t be greeted and seated which I like. Our waitress was a little slow after we ordered. She forgot my mother’s straw also a spoon. Didn’t really check on us or get me another drink till we were almost finished. She was more focus on cleaning everything than us which sucked but at the same time showed good work ethic. I also hate how you have to pay the check in the corner. I think that is stupid especially if it’s extremely busy. It would be crowded by the bar where you pay. Overall the food from the chicken fajita was amazing. The refried beans actually had whole beans which I liked. The rice was normal and the chicken was well seasoned. I also got flautas de pollo and it was very good. I recommend this restaurant. Overall this place is pretty good for breakfast. It has great spicy menudo along with a pretty good variety of selection. The thing that takes this over the top is the homemade corn and flour tortillas. But i have been there for slower times, and you don't always get the freshly made tortillas. So if you want a good food experience go weekends in the morning. Sometimes it can get quite busy and you may have to wait. Came again today give it a Try Nov 21,2023 still the same they litterly charge extra for every single little thing extra chip charge opinion for tacos charge little more cilantro charge ya I'm never coming g back to this place 6 dollars for a lemonaid that wasn't even good the chips were tasted like they were made buy a rotten tortilla idk but we not returning Came in today to see if they improved waist of time and money look at my quesadilla suppose to have meat beans and cheese this looks like cheese mainly and meat with nerves gross ugh sorry last time ever coming Update on June 14 2021 Service still sucks like bad I don't even understand why they have waiters and they never even come to your table to check on only when you about to leave they come like ugh of course I don't need anything really went down hill thi place use to be good now i just don't come or won't recommend sucks over charge for everything restroom is horrible They took some thing off the menu that were the only reason I went there they don't always have menudo on weekends and another thing I only go for there been 3 time were I had to walk out they don't have menudo on onSunday all the time the quesadillas are soaking in grease and it's like u paying for letters and cheese and nerves because it hardley has meat They used to be good when they were at the old location now they at this bigger location they sux and the customer is not always right here they don't care to please u at all the water taste discusting like from sewer nasty they don't even clean after u leave just pick up and that it we stop going and they prices are super high I understand if the service and food was delicious but it's not and I honestly think alot of these so called 5 star reviews are fake,family or bought because if you go there alot you would see all the flaws Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Food was really good but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant probably had about 8 tables seated so I'm not sure why it took so long for our order. Top places in South Houston area, love there MENUDO. Caldo de res is good also, serve is always good in the drive threw I always do take out. Tacos are really good. When paying with card it's a few cents more then cash. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ive been coming here for a few years now just for the pozole. I never go inside due to past bad service with waiters/waitresses. I take my usual to go. Now I know when you buy pozole your gonna get the usual bits of fat here and there, that's normal. Today's soup was filled with a bout a quarter pound of fat. Clearly unacceptable for the size small soup priced at $8.65. I returned back went inside and was met by an older woman who was not to happy with me showing up with a bag of fat. I asked if my soup can be replaced but sadly the woman was furious with me and told me she would not be replacing the food. She handed me my refund and wanted me out :( . Tip to future customers. I have came to this place once with a friend and now I find myself coming back again. Majority of the food is good here and great price for it too. I would definately recommend this place.
