Got a 6 flight of cider and some food. The food was great but the potato appetizer really stood out to me as just amazing so I definitely recommend trying that if you go! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

What an absolutely cool place. We sat outside. Managed to get a larger party of 7 seated pretty quickly (even though it was crowded). Our waitress was so kind and knowledgable of everything. The cider would amazing (I recommend the vanilla bourbon barrel). And the food was artisan and beyond perfect. It’s such a fun spot, too—you can people watch and enjoy the vibe of traverse city. We will return here. Love it. Keep doing what you do. The only downside was we wanted to buy a glass, but they were out. Though, we did get a sticker! Second best. Great food, and a great selection of ciders and other beverages. Our waitress was awesome, friendly, helpful and with a good spirit. The wait for our food was good, arrived hot and delicious I highly recommend this place. There is outdoor seating if you want or dine in, both are clean and well served. When I return to Traverse City this will be on my return list. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This would have been a 5 star review were it not for the number of items that unavailable. Including a dessert that we waited on for 10 mins just to be told that they ran out of strawberries for it. I could understand if it were late on the evening on a busy Friday night but this was an early dinner at around 5:00 on a Monday. 🤷‍♂️ What we did get was good. The bibimbap was tasty and colorful. The green curry was full of flavor and heat. The cider selection was great and they have something for everyone. Very happy to see that there are gluten free ans vegan friendly options on the menu without having to customize the order. Excellent place! The watermelon basil margarita was absolutely stellar, but be careful, because it's super crushable. It went down the hatch fast. This place is excellent for those with dietary restrictions and food allergies. They have excellent vegan, dairy free, and vegetarian options. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. Dog friendly patio. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The Taproot Cider House is a great spot for cider lovers and food enthusiasts. It is nicely situated in downtown. The restaurant offers a variety of ciders, spirits, and microbrews, as well as an incredible earth-to-table menu that features local and organic ingredients. Some of the dishes include bibimbap, mac and cheese, pizza, sliders, and salads. They also have vegan and gluten-free options available. The atmosphere of Taproot Cider House is relaxed and rustic. You can sit indoors or outdoors The interior has cozy wood tables. You can enjoy live music. The service staff members are riendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and drinks. The portion sizes are great. I recommend the black bean sandwhich. Overall, Taproot Cider House is a great place to visit if you are in Traverse City and looking for a refreshing drinms and satisfying meals. It is a family-friendly establishment that supports local farms and businesses. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went for lunch and it was a great experience! I was able to taste a multitude of the ciders, and my waitress, Emily, was very knowledgeable and helpful in making my selections. She was attentive the entire time I was there and was just a very pleasant person to interact with. The grilled cheese was fantastic! I never would have paired the items on it together, but it was like a charcuterie board on a sandwich! Amazing. 10/10 great food and service. Would highly recommend. A beautiful environment with lovely vibes, but very pricey for some mediocre food. My cousin said his mushroom pizza tasted like “a garden” and my pork tacos were very bland. My husband’s fennel sausage pizza was pretty good and very unique. We shared the Brussels sprouts which were very tasty. Almost every item on their menu had apples which can either make or break your experience depending on whether you enjoy apples in your Brussels sprouts, pizza, grilled cheese, etc. The staff were about 50/50, either very nice and warm or cold and pretentious. This place is probably pretty awesome if you’re vegan, wealthy, and prefer an eccentric menu. As soon as we walked in, instead of welcoming us we were greeted with “do you have reservations”, we did not - they seemed to almost turn us away but she said we could “sit at this table if we really wanted”…. This began to make sense as soon as we were sat; the table was tucked into a very uncomfortably tight spot immediately beside the door so we continuously were blasted by cold blizzard winds. Reservation or not, we were still paying customers (we bought multiple drinks too so our tab was NOT small by any means) so it was annoying to see many other open tables in better places. Overall, I would recommend this place for a planned dinner (make sure to make reservations to ensure you get treated well) or just as a midday stop for drinking some yummy cider (they had a long and impressive list). I can’t say the food was worth the prices, but they definitely get credit for offering different items than the usual. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
