First I will start by saying the cakes from this place are absolutely amazing. Back in 2018 There was a miscommunication with the cake that was requested for a baby shower. Due to the miscommunication the person said we would be issued at 75 dollar credit. This was communicated verbally and was told all I would need to do is say our name or our phone number. Let’s fast forward to today. They remember everything about the order and service except the price and now they want to only issue a 25 dollar credit and stated that if I don’t have an email then there is nothing they can do. Funny how if they dont have an email how would I have email. Emails work both ways. Nobody emailed me and again back in 2018 it was stated that all I needed to do was say my name or provide my phone number. I understand times are harder but it’s not right to go back on your word especially if you pride yourself in customer service. This definitely has put a sour taste in my mouth of this company and it’s unfortunate because these cakes are sooooo good! Food: 5 Service: 2

Wow, just wow! I live 30 mins away and had never heard of Sweet Spot until I used the Too Good to Go App. My husband and I drove here to pick up the bag and headed home. We were blown away by the quality and taste of the treats, and also the service. Of course their TGtG bags sell out quickly, so the next time I was in the area I just bought treats full price. WELL worth it. Tonight we made it in time to get one of their chicken pies I’ve heard so much about - cannot wait to try!! New favorite place. Delicious food, wonderful people! I have used sweet spot bakery for all the birthdays for my kids! They are the best! I send a photo of what I like and they do an amazing job matching the pictures! Also the cake is delicious! Just had a birthday with vanilla cake and the raspberry filling and EVERYONE loved it!

Decided to have some carrot cake for Easter Sunday this year. After a little bit of searching, found this place right in Melrose. Talked with the very nice woman on the phone about how many guests we were expecting. I went with the size that she recommended. I had a little bit of sticker shock at the price but decided to proceed. Picked the cake up right on schedule with no hassle. First thing I noticed was how heavy the cake was. Hmmm. Bottom line the cake tasted great, IMO... and got rave reviews. "It was amazing and so dense!!" So I guess you get what you pay for. Could not be happier!

Found Sweet Spot on Google review and saw a lot of photos of cakes that I liked. I wanted something not too crazy but not too simple and it worked out well. Prices was very reasonable at first but then we got the cakes and it looked amazing. Exactly what we wanted. Then we had it and it was delicious. My son enjoyed his smash cake and it was simple but went with his theme. The main cake I just want a white cake with Mikey’s face. Nothing crazy. Just simple but not too basic. I’m a simple person. I’ve seen a lot of other cakes on their site but I don’t need anything crazy. I will be returning next event. Also, the staff was great and friendly. No issues there. Gave me exactly what I wanted. They did call me to make sure the name was correct since it’s spelled one letter different.
