This place was great. The food tasted great and was very well presented. There was a long line when we arrived for a Sunday brunch but once we were seated at the table, the service was fast and the food arrived quickly. Proportions are fairly large. I would recommend sharing family style in order to taste the various options. Everything I've had there has been great so far. This visit we had the Gardena Souffle Omelet, Oscar Benedict, Original Millionaire Bacon, Dirty Ube Latte, and Bloody Mary. Good presentation and very delicious! We tried to visit Sweet Maple Palo Alto several times before- the wait times were always way too long. Today we joined the waitlist a little before noon and got a table exactly when predicted. They don’t have a whole lot of vegetarian options and possibly just 1 vegan option. I ordered a green papaya salad and a mango mimosa. The green salad was good- very refreshing and the ingredients were all fresh. It was a lot bigger and more filling than I expected. In the menu it was mentioned that it would be spicy- but I didn’t think it was, honestly. The classic fried chicken was pretty dry apparently. The garlic one might have been better. Overall food was OK. What I did love about Sweet Maple was the prompt service, our server was very polite and helpful too. The decor is very cute. We were lucky to be seated inside. We sat outside, the weather was nice, and the location is amazing. I got the Hemingway salmon Benedict, and my dad got the standard two egg breakfast with the fruit bowl upgrade. I must say the hollandaise with wasabi was a refreshing flavor profile, and the potatoes with fried brusselsprouts was really good.
