My husband and I had a wonderful experience. Service was excellent across the board—thank you, Sean and team! Loved the low ABV drinks and the wine list was extensive. Everything was delicious. Standouts were the pork and the lemon fennel dessert. Highly recommend!
Very overrated place to eat. The food was so so and not amazing. The front desk hostess lady sat us in the bar area even thou we had reservations for 7pm. She was more concerned about getting them in the door than accommodating us. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We dined at Sweet Basil and can say that the food was fantastic. We would strongly recommend the Carbonara and Feta starter. The front hostesses though were cold and unwelcoming and almost made us turn around. Thankfully, the food runners, waiters and bartenders were all very friendly and revived the overall experience. Nice restaurant. High end drinks and food. It gets a little noisy. The food is good. Presentation is excellent. We tried Salmon, Black cod, Scallops, Wagu Steak and best of all the great presentation of chocolate mushroom dessert. No mushrooms just looked like a mushroom. Plan on a walk to the restaurant from the big parking structure on the East end of the Village. It is free parking after 3pm. It’s about a 5 minute walk to Sweet Basil. Coming from “Texas” Ryan has treated us totally differently being colored on the bar vs white couple sitting next to us.. he has not even acknowledge us once about how we doing vs asking neighbor how is even their “Caesar salad “ He constantly checked on the Caucasian couple sitting next to us, how’s their food, if they needed to order anymore drinks and even desert. This is very rare situation but very sad to see this experience. Situations like these are sad. Over All food was amazing! Exceptional restaurant in downtown Vail, easily the best place we ate at during our stay! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was nice and the unique presentation of some of the dishes added to the enjoyment. I’d definitely recommend the Octopus, Whipped Feta, Wagyu Tartare, and the Iberian Pork. Of all the starters we tried, the Peruvian Potato Bombs was the only dish that was just ok. Everything else was great. There was an extensive wine list with plenty of really great options at around $90-$110. If you can get a reservation, this place is worth it; I’d definitely recommend Sweet Basil. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
