I did a mobile order at the Lititz starbucks for a black iced tea on Friday early afternoon. I went to the store to pick it up, and after waiting a few minutes I was told they were out of black tea and it would be five minutes to make more. How do you run out of black tea? It wasn’t even that busy when I was there, inside the store or the drive-thru. Someone wasn’t paying attention when the tea container got low. Anyway, they offered me another drink, but I wanted black iced tea so I agreed to wait the five minutes and sat down at a table. After about 8 minutes I finally stood up to see if the tea was done brewing. Eventually a barista asked if I was waiting for something. I reminded her I was waiting for the tea and that it’s been longer than five minutes. She finally got it made with a quick, I’m sorry. No offer of a coupon for free drink for my inconvenience. Maybe they stopped doing that, but they used to when they messed up. It won’t prevent me from going back to this Starbucks. They’re usually on the ball, but that day they dropped the ball, so I can’t give a good review.

I don’t understand what it is about Starbucks all over this state. It’s become such a regular event that they just close the café and create a drive-through line that wraps around the building.

I’m here on Christmas Eve and the people working did great, the to-go counter has about 30 drinks waiting to be picked up and they still made my order in a decent amount of time I just want them to know they did great 😊
