Breakfast Burrito
UPDATE ON MY UPDATE (2024): As time has gone on and I’ve had a few more experiences here as of late, I can confidently say I’m being ripped off. I’m not gonna keep lowering my score, because these people are nice and don’t deserve hate. However, we’re talking $9 for a very plain breakfast “burrito” the size of a breakfast taco. Use that term loosely! Genuinely THE smallest breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. How can I not leave a little perplexed?
UPDATE: As time has gone on, the burritos have “wow”ed less and less.
The breakfast burritos are pretty good, but the coffee is lacking. Being a onetime Texan, I’ve had a lot of burritos. Some much better, BUT some much worse. I’d definitely keep coming to Stage Stop for their burrito alone. As a positive, it’s definitely a strong suit for their establishment that they should lean more into.
I often send hungry folk in the direction of Stage Stop specifically for their burritos. They’re still probably the best “grab and go” breakfast option in Westcliffe. That probably says more about Westcliffe than Stage Stop, however.
As for the coffee, again, I might look elsewhere. The true “pro-tip” here is to grab a burrito from Stage Stop and get coffee from one of the other shops in town.

Stopped in for a light breakfast and latte. The HUGE blueberry muffin was awesome and the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was fresh and tasty. While it took a little longer than your average shop the wait was worth it. The latte was just warm but tasted great. I’ll be back just for the muffin.

Best breakfast burritos ever, anywhere, bar none! The junior size saves a buck and is more than adequate.
Called ahead for sandwiches because we were in a hurry for an appointment. Made fresh, ready for us, and served with a smile.

Yes!!! Just go in and order a green chili burrito, an egg sandwich, a baked good, or the breakfast platter. Pretty much any item is worth it! Stopped here twice and both times were absolutely delightful.
