I'm a dasher. I've had my issues with almost every restaurant I pick up from, but Sonic takes the cake. To pick up my food, I have to stand by a door and wait for the employees (who may not even see me) to notice I'm there for DoorDash. Then, once I have been noticed, I have to KEEP waiting in whatever weather is going on outside. They will not bring my order to my car, a place where I can keep myself at a reasonable temperature without worrying about precipitation, and it's ridiculous! I understand why I am no longer able to walk in and grab the food, it's a safety issue that's completely reasonable. But why should I have to wait outside for what could be a long time for my DoorDash order in cold, extremely hot, rainy, or any other inconvenient weather the day brings? It's completely unprofessional on Sonic's part. What should happen is the dasher should pull into a stall, notify the employees they have arrived, and wait in their cars for them to bring out the food. And I know it's not a problem for the employees, whom which I have heard similar complaints from. Whoever came up with the current method of picking up a DoorDash order either needs a change of mindset or a change of position. Period. Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
