We love skinner’s! The food is always excellent and we always love supporting locally owned businesses. Lately it has been incredibly difficult to get a table and even pick up orders are taking an hour which makes it difficult with kids (this is placing orders prior to 5pm so even on weekends an hour wait for takeout at that time is excessive and I spent 10 years as a server at popular pizza restaurant in Duluth and understand rush times). Again love supporting local businesses but skinner’s seems to be thriving beyond their space and we will be looking to spread our business around, while still ordering from skinner’s from time to time. Robin our server was amazing and the food, drinks, & happy hour specials were perfect! $1 ham beers and the best pizza and WINGS in town and a whole pizza tray full of nachos. robin made sure we had fresh plates and silverware throughout and brought plenty of napkins. 10/10 food and service. Burger took 30 minutes and was served warm, bar was almost empty. I will give them another try, hoping this was just an off night. On the up side good pricing and the food would have been great if it was hot. Update we have been back twice since our first review. Both times the food and service have been excellent. Last night we had the all you can eat Tuesday spaghetti and meatball special and it was a great very fairly priced meal. Also kudos to our excellent server Megan! I love this spot. Awesome local bar. Great staff, awesome daily food specials and amazing laid back vibes. I typically pull up to the bar, order wings and a few beers. It hits the spot each time. I moved to St. Paul two years ago, so it’s cool talking to the regulars who have been coming here for a long time. There’s a small patio in the back and street parking is never a problem. They’re Monday and Wednesday food deals hit the spot for me. And kids eat for free (one per adult) on Sunday evenings! Can’t beat a deal like that. Give this spot a try. You won’t regret it! My mom and I had dinner here after reading about this a favorite pizza place in Saint Paul. I ordered a burger and my mom ordered a 10'' pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion. Food was pretty quick, it was all excellent. After dinner, on Thursday nights, we also stayed for a few casual rounds of bingo, which was really fun. Just a fun place for dinner and great staff. There's limited parking in the back but there's plenty available in the neighborhood just a little bit away. Perfectly fine area for a walk.
