Very rude employees at the pickup area. DoorDash and other gig apps doing deliveries for shop rite are independent contractors and thus can unassign up to 10 order per 100 deliveries when needed in this area of operations. The order turned out to be a lot more work than I was getting paid for so thus unassigned it. Instead of being polite about my decision, the lady running in says I’m not allowed too but that would be against the contract I signed with DoorDash. She said I would be banned which I will be very much hoping that occurs as I don’t have the time to deal with rude employees who do not care to understand the contract drivers have with DoorDash along with the other gig apps. We don’t work for shop rite so management really needs their workers to understand this as the ignorance will most definitely cause a problem in the future. Do better. Edit: after completing the other order in the stack I discovered I would’ve been paid a total of $7 for completing that order and I wonder now if the worker herself would’ve even done that order had she known the pay

Good store where I make my quick runs. Parking can sometimes be a pain. The produce is hit or miss - sometimes rotten and moldy, sometimes good. A good variety of products and most things are kept stocked weekly. Sometimes they only have their own brand and not the regular brands, which can be a nuisance and frustrating. The self check out can also be hit or miss, as I've often had to have a cashier get involved to clear or push through the transaction. Most cashiers are cordial and say hi, one lady this week was super friendly and actually helped bag my stuff (most don't, so it was noted and very much appreciated!). Overall a good and convenient store to shop and I will continue shopping here.

The workers are incredibly rude and there are never any registers open. Had maybe 25 items and the worker at self checkout made me stop by transaction and take my remaining 5 items to a register. Meanwhile there are only 2 registers open and no line at self checkout on a Wednesday. When I asked if I could finish my transaction the employee told me not to give her attitude. As if I was a 4 year old. Suggest they train their employees to be just nicer people in general.

Just fantastically bad service at catering. You have a smart mouth 16yo running the department and he couldn’t do basic math to figure out sales tax on $300 isn’t $80! He had no problem telling me repeatedly to “be quiet” when I tried to explain, then went ahead and charged me the wrong amount anyway. Sadly, the night manager, Bob Frank, was equally as rude. Once the actual head store manager came over things got sorted (kid mouthed off to her too.) ShopRite customer of 50 years and now looking elsewhere for future catering needs.

I am an employee of a contracted company. Your product acceptance employee working in the warehouse is very aggressive, disrespectful and swearing. We bring service to you. This attitude we encounter makes us very sad. This situation was repeated many times. Please we want something to be done

Had the worst experience ever in ShopRite. I was shopping for my elderly friend. I usually go to ShopRite where I live in Middletown. The people there are COURTEOUS and FRIENDLY. So imagine my surprise when I had to deal with some employee her disgusting attitude. As a 54 year old black woman, I am not going to be spoken to in a disrespectful manner by someone young enough to be one of my children. Nor do I need to hear about how she has kids and has to pay a mortgage. Guess what sweetie, you are not the only one. The problem is ShopRite has had to change so much store policy because of the pandemic and shoplifting. I haven’t been in ShopRite in a while. I didn’t know they changed to 20 items or less. And you also can only do one transaction now. All that person had to do was say that. So I left and went to a regular register. ShopRite needs to better train their employees. The disrespect was too much. I expect better at ShopRite. Employees who speak to customers like that bring down the store’s value. That’s what happens when people bring their hood rat mentality to work. Told some people that I know who shop there. Interesting to find out someone had a run in with the same person. One of the reasons they don’t shop there anymore. We realized it after I described her.

I ordered a cupcake cake for my son's birthday party. It was a big hit at the party. It was not only yummy but it also looked great. Danielle the cake decorator did a beautiful job. All the mothers at the party asked where I got it and said they are ordering there for their kid's birthday. The great thing about the cupcake cake is you don't need to cut it but looks just like a cake. is you do not have to cut it but it looks like a cake.

Ordered online for pickup between 5:00 at 5:30. Got to the store and called to ask about the procedure and see if my order was ready. The guy put me on hold for about 15 minutes so I came in only to find out they never shopped my order. Needless to say I canceled it and will not be going back. If I wanted to hang out at ShopRite for 40 minutes I would have did my own shopping. I am very disappointed

First time in this Shop-Rite in many years and WOW! This store will have my business repeatedly now! It is well stocked, it is immaculately clean and every associate that I came into contact with was more than pleasant and courteous. Their prices are much lower than other local supermarkets in the area, and the variety of products is endless. I had a five-star experience all the way around! Thank you Saker, for doing what you do best:putting the customer first!
