First time visiting and I am definitely underwhelmed. After hearing good things for many years my family visited to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is quaint, a little dark and if you’re sitting anywhere near the door, there was smoke coming in from smokers outside on and off the whole time. It wasn’t very crowded and the service was mostly friendly but slow. The appetizer salads were basically just lettuce out of a bag but the house made dressings were good. The rolls were good but they were extremely delayed in bringing them to the table. The portions were just okay and most of the food at the table was average at best. For the price, you’d enjoy your meal 1000x more at Clifford’s. Overall, I would not return as the quality of food and level of service does not match the price point. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

I could NOT EAT the OLD REFRIGERATOR SMELLY, SALTY FOODS! Paid and went to another place! HORRIBLE!Bypass this restaurant listen to the previous review. It almost ruined my birthday! You will regret this place. "Comically awful" food is right! Food is terrible service is equivalent. If I could make it (-1) I would. The speakeasy was very short staffed, wasn't expecting that invited friends so wasn't bad but not a great atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Service was great and atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for a restaurant in a house — very kitschy and dated, but in a fun way. I got the pineapple salmon, which had granules of sugar still in it. No one at our table particularly enjoyed their meal. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Comically bad food. Ironically unironic tacky decor. Obviously frozen and microwaved food. Oh, and you pay a premium for all of the above. We should have known when the salads (see photo) came out that our $50/plate entrees were going to be sub-par; we weren’t expecting barely edible. How can you ruin a baked brie with berry sauce? Freeze it, I suppose, microwave it, and pour gritty red tasteless goo all over it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Really warm and comfortable with a relaxed vibe. Huge portions of all kinds of delicious options! Friendly and attentive staff! Try patio dining. It’s a must-see enchanting speakeasy feeling. We love it! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Piccata

Baked Brie with raspberry sauce was very good. Spending an extra $2.25 for blue cheese dressing was a waste bc it barely dampened our salads . Both the entree's were heavily salted and in the case of the pork chop inedible. The veal picatta was a little better but not enjoyable. The menu on the web site is far from accurate as to the actual prices or offerings. The restaurant is a little converted house and doesn't seat many at a time so you can actually have a conversation and be heard . It's cozy but every 20min or so the train blows its' horn as it passes by on the tracks below. We weren't offered desserts and the service was extremely slow. Even after the pork chop meal was deleted from our bill ($26.95) we still spent $89.00 plus tip . That included one alcoholic drink Bottom line is that we won't go back.
